NIH Grants announced

Post by webslave »

The NIH Grants have been announced (has someone got a link to the entire list of grants?). I do know that Dr Shoskes and his team got the NIH prostatitis grant for which he applied: $1.25 million over 5 years!

Excellent news! :jester:

Its about time they put some money into alternative research. I can't believe it took them this long to realize that studying the same problem that always leads to the same non-answer was a waste of time and money.

Thanks for the heads up.

Look at this new ICA logo:

I can't understand why they would use a logo that excludes men so blatantly.

On another topic, I see that Jordan Dimitrakov is funded through Queens in Canada. Has he moved to Canada? Anyone know?

I THINK he is going to work with Curtis Nickel in Queens as a clinical research associate (given licensing issues I suspect he would not be able to practice medicine independently).

I agree. It's a poor choice for a logo.
This is not medical advice. Please consult your physician.

The logo seems symbolic of the "female-centered" research on pelvic pain. The pelvic floor physical therapist who treated me (very effectively) was from the "Women's Health Department."
