Hi SS,
Was your total cost $5000 including accommodations, meals and transportation or were they extra. I have not been able to find a PT other than some whacked out woman that wanted go in some sort of trance to find out what work needed to be done and it was no help at all. I had a Gyn. check my pelvic floor and she didn't find trigger points. I am trying a immune suppressor right now because my Pharmacist had some on stock that was going out of date in May, other wise I do not have the money for treatment or to go see Dr. Wise but it would be nice to know what it would cost me and my wife.

Ken,

It cost about 5k total. The clinic was 3,250, airfare around 500 total (we chose to save 500 and not fly direct, we had layovers, but worth it), 500 for the hotel, and probably around 500 in other ancillaries, 5k is about right for the whole trip, and I believe it will be worth every penny.

Regards,

SS

Hey SS, I am happy to hear you made it there and things went well!! Theres only 2 things holding me back from going. The $$$ but I would borrow from everyone I know to do it (so I guess thats not whats really holding me back). What really is is that I could handle one treatment but from past experiences I had horrible urethral burning afterwards for weeks, so I dont know how I could possibly handle several treatments in a short time. I also read that you seen others who couldn't find any TPs but he did. I saw Rhonda Katarinos who is a pretty big name in all of this and the only thing she told me was that my pelvic floor was tight. The only other big thing is the huge, unbearable possibility that I would do what I had to do to get the treatment out there and they would tell me SORRY we can't find anything wrong. I have been through sooo many painful tests that at the end I was told everything is normal. I think I would have to go into a mental hospital if this happened.
Very happy to hear your story and thanks for sharing it w/ us!!

Scooby: I enjoyed, and got a lot out of your post. Showed it to my wife and had her read it. Her immediate reaction was, "If you want to, maybe we should go to California instead of Portugal (we have been planning to take a couple of weeks in Portugal this winter). I'm in a rush, so I won't comment more just now, but I think you have had a profound effect on my thinking. Thank you.

If you make that 3 PT's, that was my experience also!

Really glad to hear you now know what is going on :-D

Alan,

Surely now with AHIP 3 & 4 available Bill Taylor for example can help any sufferer find their TPs if they both put their heads together?

You yourself seemed to find the last remaining trigger points with your girlfriend and the help of AHIP? Did you ever conisder telling Bill which TPs he'd missed?

Glad my post could help. As I said before one gentlemen was 67 years young and he went. There was another lady who was probably in her sixties as well, very nice women. I didn't get much of her story, but I think it was a case of IC diagnosis, but if you read AHIP v4 they believe there are certain cases of IC diagnosis that the protocol can help. I dont know enough to comment.

Garys,

I told my wife the same thing, what if this doesnt work, then what? Her answer, then you have tried everything and can quit wondering what if, and can then look in a direction different than the muscular theory. However, in my heart of hearts I knew it was muscular and that this would help.

At the clinic you are taught to look at your thinking. I am a big catastrophic thinker when it comes to me personally. However, when it comes to other people I always look for the bright side. My wife just went for what the doc thought was a cyst in her breast, and her gg died of breast cancer, but I remained very optimistic about the whole thing. She was fine, now if it were me in the same shoes I would have been expecting the worst. I have to change this, and accepting that the SP will work, and has already been positive, is a big step.

It took me 3.5 yrs to say enough is enough I need to go and see for myself.

Regards,

SS

GP2, if you really examine those charts, I think you are right. But, you need to examine them with a skilled PT who knows the pelvic floor. Had I looked at those alone without first feeling Tim do it I dont think they would have made sense to me. The PT would still have to know how to treat TPs, holding, milking, stretching, etc. From what I have read Bill Taylor seems like he might be able to help.

Thank you very much Scooby snacks,

What you posted here has been very inspirational and I feel more positive about this type of treatment. By far your have been able to relay your progress and treatment in a way I can relate to more than any I have read about the SP clinic. This is a major thing since the Dr.'s have given up on me and are just referred me to a pain management specialist. If the immune suppressor doesn't work we will find a way to get to the SP clinic

Ken,

Glad I could be of help. I think the best thing for you to do would be to contact Dr. Wise. He will ask you specific questions to determine if you are right for the program. He may be selling ideas/services, but he also doesnt want to bring people there that he doesnt think he can truly help (which is a good thing in this day and age), ie, have muscular issues, and not some other condition. Those talks always helped me. Then assess from there whether you are a candidate for that protocol.

Good Luck and hang in there.

I'm very interested in Dr Wise's work. I've been stressed out for almost 4 years since I was furloughed by American Airlines and forced to fly for the military again. I know sitting too much. I was drinking like a fish, working out everyday. Now I basically do nothing but feel depressed. I live in Northern California so a visit there would be easy for me, but I was concerned about the cost. Can you tell me what a visit there runs? Thanks

Call David for an up to date cost estimate (1 866 874 2225 (toll free) or 1 707 874 2225). It's not cheap, ~$3K+ I think, but if you have local accommodation you'll save a lot. Plus you'll save on travel costs.

It may seem like a lot, but ask yourself if this is money well spent. How much could CPPS end up costing you if it irretrievably damages your work and love life? :?:

Mark:

I got quote in May; It was 3350$ for Dr Wise and PT.
Urologist cost ranges from 200$-600$
I think 5-6k$ is good estimate still.

I am trying to go here in October or November.I am going to local PT which is doing internal work but I dont think I can go around try different PTs with this stuff.
