options in Miami, FL: University of Miami and Baptist

Post by feanor777 »

Searching for treatment options here in Miami for this condition I came across these pages.

1) University of Miami Physical Therapy seems to have some sort of treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction (you probably need a referral for an appointment):

2) Also the University of Miami Pain Center mentions pelvic pain:

Since the address for these two seem to be in the same building, maybe they would take a multidisciplinary approach (working on rehabilitation and managing pain). I wonder if anyone has tried this option yet? May be worth a shot.

Moving on to Baptist Hospital (Baptist Health South/South Miami Hospital):
3) A page for "Pelvic Health & Continence Testing" mentions pelvic floor rehabilitation, though it says it uses "biofeedback and electrical stimulation of the muscles", so unsure if this should be the first approach:

4) And here is there pain center which mentions pelvic pain, but mostly seems to focus on drugs and trigger point injections:

Thought I would share my findings for others who may be looking. Again, I haven't tried these. If anyone has, please let us know your experiences. Thank you.
