Prostatitis Treatment Option in Thailand

Post by CMT23 »

If anyone at any point becomes aware of anyone who provides treatment for non-bacterial prostatitis/pelvic pain in Thailand, please post here. Despite having some of the best hospitals in Asia (and some of the best massage therapists in the world), so far every urologist I have contacted is completely clueless when it comes to internal physical therapy and pelvic trigger points.

The research is out there and it still amazes me somewhat that so many of them would rather stick with what they know (which in so many cases of course means telling people to go home and live with it) then to learn something new. As Doctors who have dedicated their lives to helping people, I would think that they would be as interested as I am in the results that people are getting by looking at this as a muscle/stress problem and tackling it from that angle. Unfortunately, it does not appear that this is the case. I have even emailed links for the more well known books to hospitals here who simply respond by saying that this is "not something they are offering now or plan on offering in the near future."

If I find anyone in Thailand, I will be sure to post here.
Age: 39 | Onset Age: 17 | Symptoms: Constant feeling of needing to urinate felt in the tip of penis. Frequency. Urgency. None of the typical pain associated with CPPS. | Helped By: Valium, Klonopin, and very hot baths, followed by lying down still/doing relaxation. Also made almost symptom free for a few seconds following a bowel movement. | Worsened By: stress, anxiety, skipping meals, lack of sleep, extended sitting, coffee, alcohol. NO other pain or discomfort although after ejaculation symptoms will usually get worse unless I lie still for 20 minutes or so. | Other comments: Symptoms began at the moment of ejaculation, disappeared after a few months and then returned a few months later and have not gone away since.

I would like to bring this thread up to see if there is anything new in Thailand regarding a specialist in trigger points. I tried to contact CMT23 to see if he had any updates on this but unfortunately I am not able to send private messages. Could someone from the admins please unlock my account so that I can mail private messages? We are a few here in Thailand with this problem and we need to communicate with each other to share important information especially because it seems to be very hard to find this kind of specialist in Thailand. Thank you.

There is a prostate massage clinic in Pattaya (pattayaprostatemassage.com) if your looking for alternative treatment. I wish I found her sooner cause I did feel great after each massage. It's a older lady who does the massage and she's a bit of a quack but she knows her stuff.

Thanks LeoJohn30, but can't imagine these guys understand myofascial trigger points. I think their focus is all about the prostate. If I ever find anyone who understands this affliction and treats it successfully, I will post here. If anyone else finds, please do likewise. Thanks!

Has anybody tried this lady in Pattaya? How risky is it, in terms of making it worse?
