Re: IC/BPS, IC/CPPS Widespread Among Men in the U.S.
Good find. It's heartening to see that this condition isn't as rare as some would have us believe. At the same time, it's disconcerting that a condition affecting so many men barely registers on the public radar.

Re: Review: Netherlands Clinic
Total price was 600 Euro, which included the wand and the video player. Then there's the fee Fetske charges, which is 500 Euro for her time. I think going to this clinic instead of the one in California only makes sense if you 1) don't live in the U.S. and/or 2) feel strongly that you are well-verse...

Re: Review: Netherlands Clinic
Yes, she did the TrP mapping similar to Tim Sawyer. We didn't have a ton of time, so I asked her not to focus on external since I have a PT back here in the U.S. who is doing so.

Review: Netherlands Clinic
Hi everyone, I visited the F-Act Pelvic Pain Clinic (http://www.allesoversms.nl/joomla2/index.php/english) last week in Enkhuizen, The Netherlands and wanted to post a review of my experience. First, I have seen Tim Sawyer many times in the Bay Area but have never visited the W-A clinic primarily be...

I highly recommend Roseanne Cruz @ Beyond Basics. She's great at finding both external and internal TrPs and is a very pleasant person.

I'd reach out to Anthony Schaeffer at Northwestern. He's a professor, but might know someone.

Re: PelvicFloor Botox in British Columbia
CTodd -- there aren't many doctors who know what they're doing when it comes to Botox. I'd recommend checking out Dr. Jerome Weiss in San Francisco. He's one of the few doctors I've met who I trust with regard to injections.

Re: Safety & effectiveness of WAND for UCPPS
Any updates regarding the commercial availability of this device? I talked to Dr. Wise a few months ago and he said they were now selling them in Europe. I guess the FDA is just taking longer?

Re: David Wise and Rodney Anderson television interview 3/30
Thanks for sharing.
Something tells me the interviewer did not do his homework prior to interviewing them. He seemed surprised about the focus of the book on the pelvis.

Re: Shock Wave Therapy May Ease CPPS
I don't know of any specific doctors/clinics who are using it, but it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to use existing ESWT machines for this purpose. I know the actual machine used in the Austrian study is not FDA approved. I wonder how similar this machine is to other shock wave devices tha...
