Re: Urologist in Central NJ
Can anyone recommend a urologist and or a PT in central New Jersey. I have had issues on and off (mostly on ) for about 4 months. My most troubling symptom is never ending lower abdominal/pelvic pain. I would be willing to travel to NYC or philidelphia if necessary to find someone good. Thanks, Mik...

Looks like things are really on the right track!
It's a bit disappointing to see that the MAPP grants have not been awarded yet ... I wonder if there have been delays.

Re: How do YOU KNOW what you REALLY have?
I guess what I'm saying is how do you REALLY REALLY know what you have? I would just be curious for some perspectives. Until you have a positive test for something (e.g. a physical therapist finds trigger points), you don't know. IC, CP, and chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome are ju...

Re: Anyone know a trigger point PT in San Francisco?
Does anyone here know a pt that does trigger point work in SF besides Tim Sawyer? Tim is great, and he always helps me, however, his schedule is such that it's hard for me to get in to see him. I would love to find someone in SF that I could go see once a week or so for a while....thanks! S Try cal...

Re: Hydrodistention + Bladder Training "crucially important"
Interesting. However, from the abstract it seems that this study doesn't determine how much of the beneficial effect is due to the hydrodistension and how much is due to bladder training. Most studies I have read on hydrodistension conclude that it is not effective (i.e. offers only temporary relief...

New genetic studies
I was just browsing on ClinicalTrials.gov, and saw that Dr. Dimitrakov has two new listings for genetic pelvic pain studies: "Linkage Analysis in Interstitial Cystitis" and "Diagnostic Challenges in IC (and Male CPPS)" . Dr. Dimitrakov, would it help if we posted about these stud...

Re: Researchers claim that nanobacteria don't exist
The original title of this post was "Nanobacteria don't exist". Everyone should keep in mind that scientific findings by one group of researchers need to be evaluated and confirmed by multiple other groups before they are accepted as fact.
