Benzos & CPPS

Took my 1st dose of Effexor yesterday morning - 37.5mg. It made me feel "funky" all day like I was in a daze. Plus it made me urinate more, which I certainly don't need, and when I did try to urinate it barely would come out. After one day I said enough. The 5mg of valium at night really zonked me o...

Benzos & CPPS

Just got back from Dr.'s appt. He is not a urologist. After telling him my history - 8 years of CPPS and all the antibiotics, etc. he agreed that it probably isn't the prostate. He is convinced that it is tension, stress and anxiety related to a number of things. He prescribed Effexor - Low Dose, 5m...

Severe Testicular Pain

Over the past 2 months I have experimented with changing my diet. No sugar, no wheat, only fresh veggies, lean meat and fruit. My urinary symptoms improved as far as strength of stream, etc. I was on an anti-candida diet 8 years ago and was even diagnosed by an MD with systemic candida and eventuall...

Cold Laser Treatment

To All: Yesterday after posting on cold laser treatment I went to the chiropractor and administered the laser on myself. Placed the laser in the pernieum area and later in the day did have a "flare". Nothing serious. Some burning and increased urinary output. However, experienced nocturnal erections...

Cold Laser Therapy Treatments - With Success!!!

CPPSers: Here is some interesting success!!!. I was diagnosed with prostatitis about 8 years ago. I have all the "usual" symptoms that are always discussed on this forum. I have tried all types of treatments, except Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol. I have done the stretches with little or no relief....

Major concern

I posted recently that about 1-2 weeks ago my symptoms of CPPS lessened significantly while I was coming down with a cold/sinus, etc. Then, yesterday my symptoms return. The "feeling" to ejaculate was tremendous, that urgent feeling like needing to drain the prostate. It had been about 5 days since ...

Immune system issues????

I have posted a few times on this forum regarding my belief that CPPS is primarily a pelvic muscle tension disorder. However, an interesting phenomenon took place about 1-2 weeks ago regarding my observation that the immune system may be at work in CPPS. About 1-2 weeks ago I felt as if I was coming...

intercourse -way too long

When you take cialis you feel you reach your good old erection ? In response to the above statement - I would have to say yes and no. The erection doesn't feel that same initially. After about 10-15 minutes of intercourse it does feel the same and it is as strong pre CPPS. One thing that I have not...

intercourse - way too long

In response to my age. I am 42 and have suffered from CPPS since 1997. I developed it soon after my wife of 9 years revealed to me that she had been sexually abused while growing up. Tension and stress related to "sexual" matters - you bet. I realize that a lot of my issues and pain are related to h...

Intercourse - way too long

From the research that I have done and from all of the tests that have been done on me I do not have any type of infection to the prostate. When you think about it rarely do men get CPPS under the age of 18. After the age of 18 many of us take on adult responsibilities and have stress which can lead...
