more rant

addendum: I should add that when I say get sleep, I am assuming you tense your muscles while you are awake. This is the opposite of a syndrome like TNJ, where people clench their teeth while they sleep.

diaza and me

I have had two key experiences with Diaza like drugs (Klonopin) 1) For a while, a decade ago, I took large amounts of Klonopin on a daily basis, to overcome extreme anxiety problems--I spent a summer on a high dose of the stuff while doing research at a university. Basically, I was much more outgoin...

I had that problem for about a month this fall. It would start roughly 10 to 15 minutes after defecation.

I couldn't agree with rgparrish1 more. I have even use the timer 'clock' technique when I am writing on a computer, because that is when I do the most pelvic tensing without thinking about it. I habitually tense my muscles down there, especially, surprisingly enough, when I am excited about a new ide...

Hey Rob, I'm not adverse to using my real name. But I have been on the Internet for a long time, and am deeply immersed in the "call sign" culture of bulletin boards. In general, people who use their real names on bulletin boards are the odd-man out. Whether the subject is prostatitis or PC video ca...

my symptoms re-emerged witha vengeance for two weaks while I was visiting my in-laws. They went away again when I got home to my regular routine. I haven't drawn any conclusions, but my wife is convinced stress is making me clench pelvic muscles.

I understand where you are coming from. I didn't get "prostitis" symptoms until decades after I had the burning sensation in the tip of the penis. All I know is that after a year of doing stretches and not sitting very often, I no longer get post ejaculatory pain at all. (Now if only I could get my ...

Hey there, I had post ejaculation pain, yes, usually after about 10 minues, once of every three times I ejaculated. This started around age 12. At age 30, I developed 'prostitis'. Anyway, I avoid sitting whenever possible now. This has helped reduce my symptoms As a musician, could you get away with...

I'm glad the Stanford thing has been working for you. I'm kinda new here so I wasn't sure if you were part of the drill, or someone with muscle tension issues about to "hit the fan" as it were. Your dreams are much more interesting than mine! Usually, if I have a sex dream, flying vampire police com...

i empathise

Hey RYAN, I understand how you feel. It can be very frustrating to have something so personal and at the 'center' of ones body, (at least I feel like it is) go so horribly wrong in a spirit-numbingly painful way, while doctors kind of mull around with vague diagnoses. Personally, I've never had much...

Hey there, I'm replying to this topic because your PE may relate to CPPS in the following way (and this is only based on my own experiences, its not medical advice, etc, blah blah) : For most of my sexual life (starting at around age 12) I had prided myself on the ability to delay orgasm. Just befor...

Shooting pains

Hi there, Hope you are hanging in there. During the first six months of my pain, I would sometimes getting shooting pains that, like an electric shock, would run up the left side of my penis. This happened most often when I was doing a particular stretch of my left leg. This has not happened to me i...

My Log

I'll be keeping a log here as I attempt to apply the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol. My backgrond: I am a 30 year old male. I developed symptoms in December, 2003. There are two important precursors two my present symptoms. Ever since age 12, I would occasionally have a burning pain at the tip of m...
