Sometimes the Ultram withdrawals can be worse...they have a dual action on the brain...but getting off of any of it is brutal...depressing etc. It does get better, your just in for a few rough weeks...

WOW are you lucky (well as lucky goes for us CPPS sufferers)...familiar with the SP and only $50 a visit...that's got to be the best deal I've saw yet for PT.

In my case suddenly upon awakening....with bladder infection type symptoms...the rest came on in the next few days... I agree that things can get better over time. And I really hope all of you do. However, I wouldn't ever let my guard down and think that it will just magically go away. I had some of...

As I have stated before, while on the Ultram for 3 months my symptoms all were getting worse...I just didn't feel it or I was feeling too good from the buzz to let it bother me. But I know I wasn't relaxing my floor, etc like I should have been...the Ultram was making me think things were the same o...

It has to be your choice and you have to be committed to doing it. I think you'll be better both physically and mentally in about 2-3 weeks if you do what you say. But let me warn you, you are probably in for some very tough days mentally. It will subside, but may go away one day and come back the n...

Gary, I think you are falling into the same trap I did last summer. I had about a 4 month bout of IBS out of the blue. I just couldn't relate it to the CPPS and was sure that I had some other problem, cancer, ulcer, ulcerative colitis, etc. While the IBS was kicking the CPPS was hardly there. Well a...

I agree, if taken with much caution it is a very useful drug. I thought I was being pretty careful, with only taking small to medium doses. And things weren't too bad until I started taking a dose everyday. After a month of that, my muscles and mental state couldn't take it anymore. I have taken a s...

Synthetic opioid...same thing. Actually percocets and the others rarely affect me even at large doses. Ultram is just as addicting and as dangerous as the others, possibly more since it has the dual serotonin/pain killing action. Go to Google and put in Ultram Addiction and you will probably find mo...

He gave you Flomax...it can be tough to get used to as all alpha blockers are. The older ones, Cardura and Hytrin provide urinary relief and even some studies show overall pain relief. Cardura helps my overall CPPS quite a bit. Try Uroxatral or one of the ones mentioned above, it is newer and has le...

Has any of the doctors suggested you try an alpha blocker yet? If not, suggest it to them. They can help immensely with the urination troubles.

Hopefully it will be worth it, it was for me. After 3 months of Ultram my pain and spasms had increased to the worst point of my 2 years with this crap in places that had never hurt before. Slowly over about a 3 week period after I stopped taking it, my symptoms returned to mostly just an annoyance....

Not 100% sure on the tolerance issue; but narcotic pain killers cause muscle spasms, increased anxiety, difficult urination, constipation, histamine release and a lot of other things that can hinder heeling. They can be bad stuff for some CPPS users, I am one that actually got much worse while takin...
