Re: Kevkos - Here's my Story

Sorry to hear!
I also like Amonges am curious to know if maybe anxiety and stress crept back into your life by not doing things regularly or was there any withdrawal effect from the drug you were taking that caused an increase in anxiety?

Re: Painopolis Podcast Explores Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome

Just wanted to say that this podcast is pretty awesome. I got to know David a little bit and he puts his heart and soul into his podcasts. The fact that he also suffered like so many of us w/this debilitating pain and that he came out of it on the other side, goes to show that everything is possible...

Re: CPPS/Tinnitus

Dizzyness and ear pain, allergies - I'm wondering if you may have a subtle ear or sinus infection. I used to get those ALL THE TIME as a kid. Would explain all those symptoms. They don't often require treatment - but can be incredibly annoying. Mine were often triggered by allergies - which is also...

Re: CPPS/Tinnitus

CPPS is BECAUSE OF your stress levels. You are right! It's been a challenge trying to bring down my stress levels. I'm trying meditation and CBT. This tinnitus is now going to challenge me as well. This is all stress related for sure. I might have to seek out an anti depressant reluctantly. I had a...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Thanks Major.
I'm trying CBT and meditation now. It's tough now that I developed a bout of tinnitus. This is all nerve related imo.

Re: CPPS/Tinnitus

I have not been on any antibiotics lately. I had an endoscopy lately and had general anesthesia. My ears and temples hurt a bit, and could be stress related or picking up some allergies. I've had allergies before and no issues like this. CPPS has really tested my stress levels.

Re: CPPS/Tinnitus

I am stopping the Cymbalta just in case. I only took 5 days worth at 20mg. Right now I just have a hissing sound. Hopefully it's temporary based on stress or jaw clenching.

CPPS/Tinnitus

So I've been hearing a ringing in my ear once a day for about 5 seconds. This has happened for about a week. Slight pain in right ear. I go to an Ent and they perform tests and no concerns. Yes I've been stressed and ya I have CPPS but I feel it's gotten better. Well of course after the test, this e...

Re: Duloxetine/Cymbalta

I wish I could. It's a capsule with powder. I'll ask my doc if she can get me half the dosage.

Re: Duloxetine/Cymbalta

So only been taking two days and feel dizzy and a bit of pressure in head. Assume those are early side effects while getting on it. I'm only taking 30mg. It doesn't say whether it's best to take during day or evening. Any recommendations? Taking .25mg klonopin just to calm down a bit.

Re: Duloxetine/Cymbalta

Thanks WS! Appreciate it. I don't think it's going to help based on a genetic test I did earlier for meds my liver can process. Cymbalta was on the red list lol Worth a shot even if it's just to keep my mood up. Biggest thing for me is starting a mindfulness course in January and incorporating that....

Re: Duloxetine/Cymbalta

My psychiatrist just gave me a prescription for Cymbalta. She didn't like Elavil for me because of the side effects Just read about the ones you mentioned webslave. Not sure if there's anything negative about Cymbalta? She said that for pain related issues she liked Cymbalta. Meanwhile my therapist ...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Thanks so much for the response Ranzzar!
Sounds like just making an effort in the ways described here will help, and the distress will go away on its own.
Be well and have a great Thanksgiving.

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Hi everyone, I'm glad I found this thread. Looking at the comments from major and ranzzar, this is the phase I am now facing. A spasm from my levator after masturbation or oral sex. I think the pain lasts about a week or ten days and is awful. Before I wasn't getting this pain at all after sex or ma...
