Re: 6 years with CPPS

Major - any reason in particular you advocate EMDR over other psychological approaches? Just curious. I worked with a CBT based psychologist this year - helped with coping and my mental state, but not with the pain. Starting to plan out my 2018 and considering trying something different, so just cur...

Re: Duloxetine/Cymbalta

I was on Cymbalta for a few months this year. Nothing negative to report, but nothing positive either when it comes to the pain. Was no problem getting off of it - I tapered off over a month with no issues.

Re: New to the forum, but not new to prostatitis

Ya I haven't really had any success with this symptom. Super frustrating. I have done PT, diet change, Quercetin and Graminex, lots of mindfulness based relaxation stuff. The urethral stuff waxes and wanes but never has gone away completely. I have found underwear that is great (micro-modal trunks) ...

Ganglion Impar Block

Hey Guys - going in to discuss a nerve block with the pain clinic I work with in a few weeks. The other day I received a message from a fellow CPPSer who I keep in touch with saying they had experienced some major relief from a Ganglion Impar Block. His symptomatic profile is very similar to mine (i...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

I have found sex has actually been helpful to an extent. Her on top, relaxed during orgasm. Masturbation does flare me up though most of the time.

MRN scan

Had a MRN scan (magnetic resonance neurography, a modification of MRI) of pelvis done tonight. Will be meeting with pain clinic to discuss results and possible nerve block in a few weeks. Anything specific I should know about MRN and how to gauge the results? Any questions I should have ready for th...

I have completely cut out booze since this started but am considering adding a drink or two a week to my routine. What types of drinks should be avoided?

Anything similar to Paradoxical Relaxation?

So I have just completed 60 days straight of meditation practice. I do 20-30 minutes first thing in the morning. I have definitely seen some benefits, especially mentally. I am interested in moving towards paradoxical relaxation practice as that seems to have more of a benefit for physical pain issu...

Webslave, appreciate that response. I responded to those abstracts exactly as you worried, so I understand your reasoning in excluding them. Has caused a huge flare up, of course.
