Re: Overdue Check In With A Good Amount of Success

Chris,
Thanks!
I still get just a TINY bit of testicular pain - left side, but I notice it comes after durations of stress.
It will go away for good. Just think how so many horrible things have resolved over time. This will too. Just keep on!

Re: Rant on CPPS and Research Efforts (or lack of)

Definitely the brain. It's where the pain is ultimately felt, and imho where CPPS starts. We often think of the brain as this separate organ up in the skull. The fact is that every nerve in the body is connected to it, and every muscle in the body is connected to a nerve. Every emotion you feel, inc...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

I just want to add this: there is a lot of focus on releasing trigger points on this board. It's important in the first stage for sure. But it is NOT the end all to total recovery. In fact, if you give them too much manual attention, it can perpetuate them. It can cause a pain to linger even after t...

Re: Progress but improvement stalled

Ranzzar, It goes away. It takes a long time, but it resolves. If you have had trigger points, those have to be released first until they are consistently down. There comes a point where if you keep giving them attention, it makes the brain focus on them. Once they're released, forget about them unle...

Re: Overdue Check In With A Good Amount of Success

I'm 100% recovered, and have been since early June. Everything I've posted about helping me has been key in the long journey. However, even though I don't have definitive proof, I think the EMDR treatment I did in May(?) is what torpedoed my CPPS/Pudendal Neuralgia/Anxiety Pain. If you're struggling...

Re: Overdue Check In With A Good Amount of Success

Just checking in, it's been a while. Things are pretty good lately. Still have some nagging pain at front of pelvic floor lateral to the urethra. It's the pudendal nerve, on both sides. The left side includes testicular pain which I'm pretty sure is a branch of the pudendal nerve; and often still ha...

Re: Ashwagandha root!!!

Just checking in here. Had a very stressful week last week and of course some anxiety and pain, despite the Ashwa-root. Most research says to take it in seasons - so that means not for more than one to three months at a time. I stopped taking it for now, but may resume later. Last week I started to ...

Ashwagandha root!!!

I've been taking Ashwagandha root capsules for over two weeks and I have to tell you - IT'S AMAZING! If you have anxiety-related pain, I highly recommend trying it. The recommended is 3 capsules a day, but I do 2, one in morning and one in evening. I started noticing a difference on day 2 or 3. Sinc...

Re: Stubborn trigger points (Ramana's Case)

Sorry you're going through these tough bouts. By now, I would maybe consider looking at your picture of stress/anxiety and mental pressures in your life, and try to remove that stuff because those things are the head of the snake. You can treat muscle, myofascial tension and irritated nerves until y...

The PNS - your best friend.

Just wanted to share some good links I found about how to stimulate the PNS - very helpful, and possibly essential, for those of us with anxiety-induced pain conditions.

Re: My Experience

Your anxiety disorder is most likely the culprit for developing this. Your Sympathetic Nervous System caused an overload up in the brain and brainstem and while you weren't looking, reprogrammed it to tense up and hurt as the norm (that's an oversimplification, but the general gist). So yes, learn t...

Re: Overdue Check In With A Good Amount of Success

Hey SoraStar, I'm glad if you can get something useful from my experience to help you. You're young, and from what I've seen, younger guys seem to bounce back a little quicker. Still, you have to be patient. I would recommend, above all else, that you start a meditation regimen (guided to start with...

Re: Overdue Check In With A Good Amount of Success

Great! I have the Power of Now book... haven't read the whole thing. I'll dig it out of the attic.

I like Ellis's ideas, don't care for his delivery. He speaks without punctuation. Thanks for the Byron Katie, and Eckhart Tolle links!
