Re: Where to start and how to find a good PT?

Netlynx, don't worry so much. I know its hard not to obsess about your condition because I obsessed for quite awhile in the beginning. It does get better if you apply the principles listed on the website and in Dr. Wise's book. I did Dr. Wise's program in Sebastopol and it did help me. You don't hav...

Re: Relapse

Update from Latte, well my doctor finally found one clue, my IgE is 333, normal is less than 80. I don't really know if that's much of a clue but my allergy response is up. Is it possible for an allergic response to last four months? This did start in my sinuses before migrating to my pelvis. Dr. Pa...

Re: Relapse

Thanks so much for your response. I do work in sales for a medical company that uses some organic solvents but I am not in direct contact with them. I thought of stress since that was what set this off in 2001. I am not really stressed. Work and marriage are fine. I thought maybe an allergic respons...

Re: Relapse

Good suggestion webslave. Yes my CRP is 1.5 and normal is less than 3.0. My sed rate is 1 which is really low. Doesn't seem like inflammation. My EBVIgG is positive but so is everyone's at my age. I asked him to test my IgE and ACTH levels but he's pretty stubborn.

Relapse

Hello All CPPS sufferer This is Latte emailing the board after a long absence from posting. Ten years ago I had a very bad case of CPPS that lasted a few years and I got better to the point where I was 90% for a long time. Last November I had a burning in my sinuses and heart palpitations, very weir...

Re: statistical data on length of CPPS symptoms

I am one of those who is no longer in constant pain. I was one of the first wave of sufferers that were hit with debilitating pain about 10 years ago. At that time we did not have a clue of the real cause of the problem. With so many options available now the majority of CPPS guys may get a lot bett...

Re: Feeling Crappy and need perspective (Elitynski's Case)

I sit on a donut cushion all day at work and always while driving. I don't even think about it anymore. Its has become part of daily life. I wouldn't consider not sitting on my cushions. It has helped a lot over the years.

Re: New member - My story (hope you like to read!)

I thought I would put my two cents worth into the conversation since there are a few things you can do to alleviate your pain in the short term. When you get home at night concentrate on relieving your anxiety. That's the first step to bringing your CPPS under control. You have to take action and no...

Re: Ehhhf - cystoscopy under general anesthesia

I had a cystoscopy a few years ago when I was fighting my CPPS. The doctor used the local lidocaine cream and it didn't hurt much until he got to the bladder juncture which hurt a bit. He did find that my internal urethra was inflamed, probably neurogenic inflammation since I didn't have any bacteri...

Re: major pain

Hello Brettplace, I feel for you. When I overdo with the sex sometimes is OK but other times its hell. My whole rectal area feels like it exploded, difficult to pee and very painful with some colonic spasms that have put me in my jacuzzi at 3am, up all nite. Its difficult to predict because sometime...

Dr. Dimitrakov, how does this compare to the neuromodulation you used in Bulgaria? Hope you are doing well, Latte.

Re: New drug combo for IC/PBS

Hope it works for some of his IC patients but when I went to him he gave me the heparin/anesthetic via catheter and it did nothing at all for me. When you go to Dr. Parsons you get Atarax/elmiron and heparin instillations no matter what your symptoms are. That's his program and this "new" drug is no...

Re: Need help regarding stretching and flares

I do stretching regularly when in some discomfort. I have found that it really helps to sit in my jacuzzi or bathtub first to loosen the pelvis. I always sit in the hot water for at least ten minutes before I do the stretches. It really helps and I have found much better results with this rather tha...

Re: ALFUZOSIN VS. PLACEBO

I took Flomax for a couple years and it did help with the voiding symptoms but not with the pain. I could pee better which helped. I was surprised to find that after I discontinued the Flomax it was hard to pee for a short while but then I seemed to be back to normal. It had a minimally positive eff...

Re: Hello everyone! (Long Intro Post)

Jay, several years ago I couldn't find a PT in San Diego. I finally internet searched women's pelvic pain clinics in my area and called them. Women have been treated for pelvic pain for years as opposed to men. I found a really good one in my area but it took several calls to find one that would wor...
