Re: big breakthough after six months

I suppose one issue I run into is that I have a lot of time to myself. I work from home by myself. So I can make decisions like deciding to work lying down on my back in bed with pillows under my knees to avoid any perineal pressure. Not sitting is good right? And I break it up with at least 2 walks...

Re: big breakthough after six months

I know. You're right...I'm obsessing over it, which is a reaction from going from 85% to 65%... I have to calm down and live life. It's just that my personality is so based on jumpiness and energy and excitement...not what you need to tap into to combat this problem. I'm working on it. Thanks for th...

Re: Mindbody Healing

Gah. I had a stressful event (bedbug scare) about two weeks ago and went backwards, from 85% to 65%. I have rectal pressure issues that I just can't seem to effect at all.

Re: big breakthough after six months

Well, I'm back after a break and unfortunately I have still not been able to resolve my issues with rectal pressure. I posted quite a bit about the mind body work I'd done, which I got from Ezer. That work got from misery to about 75% better and was a huge leap forward. From there I ended up getting...

Re: Anyone here with no health insurance?

I've been paying out of pocket for the cost of physical therapy. What I would do if I were you would be to do as much research as you can on your own and try out the ideas you find here and on the web. I know that it's extremely frustrating. Even with help from a good P.T, most of my improvements ha...

Re: Mindbody Healing

I just replay the scenes in my mind where I felt humiliated or hurt or something else and imagine I'm there again. Sometimes if it's something someone said I replay it a few times, and then you get a little rush of the emotion. I might only feel it for 10-20 seconds, then I proceed on to some other ...

Re: Mindbody Healing

It's very interesting what you're saying about Sarno. I'm going to respond further to this post regarding that once I've done more than just browse all of it as it's 2:45 in the morning. What I really did was just to run with the feeling of what you were saying and trust my instincts. I have to pers...

Re: Mindbody Healing

Well apparently Freedman thinks that's possible as well...she actually suggested on my first visit that I read the Sarno books and suggested I could have gotten out of back surgery if I'd been able to get my head around it at the time. I guess that's why she gets the big bucks. She knew it was somet...

Re: Mindbody Healing

One thing I want to add is that having Valium has been like a great safety mechanism. It allowed me to go out and "live in the moment" but still have a backup in case I really felt terrible. Valium for me makes my symptoms manageable to the point where I am ok to be out and about. If I wasn't able t...

Re: big breakthough after six months

I've decided Sarno is right and had an 80% turnaround in three days. I've switched my thinking entirely and have given up the stretches and trigger points.

Re: Mindbody Healing

I hadn't actually read Ezer's numbered instructions...the 1 through 5 numbering above in his second post. I read most of all this post initially and just connected with the feeling of it. But his instructions are exactly what I've just started doing in the last three days...remembering all of these ...

Re: Mindbody Healing

Hi all. I was going to post this within my own thread, but I feel maybe it's better suited to be posted here. I've had a 180 degree turnaround for the better with this whole thing over the last three days and my thinking has completely changed. After reading this thread from Ezer, at some point foll...

Re: Mindbody Healing

Something about this rings true for me as well. I had a lot of physical trauma as a child concerning urination...for years it hurt me to pee due to a fall and a urethral stricture that didn't really resolve until three operations, the first when I was 12, the last when I was in my mid twenties. For ...

Re: The story so far (caedar's case)

This thread is interesting to me as I'm dealing with unresolved rectal tightness. I've identified a bunch of trigger points and have been working them externally with the Theracane and internally with the therawand, but the tension just seems to move around from the back of the rectum into the perin...
