Back in my horror days I had constant burning all the time. It felt like someone stuck a lighter up my ass and kept the thing lit. I strongly suspect you simply have trigger points in your pelvic and\or surrounding muscles just like most of us. The only effective treatment that I am aware of is the ...

Glenn, As I read your post I can feel your suffering. I know what kind of suffering you are going through as I went through plenty of that myself. I had the same types of symptoms and problems you mentioned for many many years. However, I have been generally pain and symptom free for some time now. ...

Some Great Natural Supplements I would like to share

I have found the following natural supplements to be worthwhile in reducing stress and muscle tension, which as result greatly improved symptoms. Calm Thoughts by Source Naturals - take about 3 tablets an hour before bedtime and sleep will be better and the next day I noticed anxiety was hardly ther...

If we believe what some of these Doctors tell us, it can be terrrifying. And that terror that we feel sets off real physical reactions in our bodies that only act to negatively impact our symptoms and health. Today if someone tells you the earth is flat you would laugh at them. Hopefully someday whe...

Needadvice, You have given yourself the advice that you seek, I think that is really cool. Since you clearly see the connection between stress and symptoms you are way ahead of the curve to recovery. I am working on my own transformation from being a stressful person to a relaxed and low stress pers...

What amazes me the most is how we tend to overlook the powerful effects of stress yet we will look everywhere else for the cause (bacteria, pollutants, etc..) There is ample literature that shows how stress causes health problems. When I was at my worst I had many physical problems besides just pelv...

Try to cut down on stress and you will see a much faster improvement. I have posted on here about doing the Byron Katie cognitive work as an excellent means to reduce stress and this in conjunction with physical therapy seems to be the ticket to becoming symptom free. This has been my experience so ...

The name of the book is called "loving what is" by Byron Katie.

I suggest getting the audio version of the book though, but the book itself is great also.

The Power of Cognitive Therapy (Byron Katie)

Hi everyone, I have been doing the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol for about 20 months and it has helped me greatly. My history is that before starting the protocol I had pretty bad pelvic pain for over a decade. I have been diligently doing the Byron Katie cognitive work for about 4 months now and ...

An Excellent Massage Tool

Aside from the Theracane which I use on my lower abdominal's I have found an excellent massager from Brookstone and is called "Shiatsu Massage machine". This machine is so helpful for me as I can just lay on the couch and use it on most of my entire body - this is by far the best massage machine I h...

I love hearing stories like this. This dam condition made me think about ending my life a few times due to the pain and hopeless feeling of never getting better. The improvement from the PT and relaxation/meditation has proven to me to be the answer to get better and better. I support all you guys i...

I agree with what you guys are saying but have found that I can handle these tense situations much better now than I used to. For example, in the past when I would be in a stressful meeting at work I would clench my pelvic floor and my pain would increase--however, I generally do not do this anymore...

James, my advice to you is simply stay off the bike ! My story is that I was practically symptom free for 6 to 8 months as a result of the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol but after I rode a stationary recumbent bike with a big flat seat (which is supposedly safe for people with pelvic pain--not in m...

Thanks for your replys. Okay, I have to start practicing what I preach more which means more relaxation and PT--back to the basics for me. I also bought a watch that has beeping noise every 5 minutes to remind me to drop\relax my pelvis. I do realize that a lot of my suffering is due to my doubting ...
