Re: Emotions & Energy vs. Discipline

Yoda said it best: Do or do not, there is no try. Seriously, think about it, if your attitude is I will TRY to do better, it won't happen. You must simply believe you will DO better, I find it helps to write down the things I want to do in order to do better. This way I have a plan, it usually takes...

Re: CPPS Dos and Don'ts

I weightlift and continue to get better, people have to figure out their own remedies while working within the SP IMHO.

Re: High voltage electrogalvanic stimulation for levator ani

I had bouts of Proc Fug prior to my onset of CPPS. For me it was a warning sign, but I did not heed it. I do think it signifies undue stress on the pelvic floor. I would be walking or sitting and I'd get a REALLY intense almost electrical like pain, then it was gone. I still sometimes get it, but I ...

Re: Tensing the Belly = Don't do it!!!

Well, SS, looking at your picture puts most of us to shame. I almost had a "faint" outline of a six-pack going for the first time in my life then CPPS struck... I went back to doing some lifting but then I had a few bad flares. Not sure if it's related but I do want to be careful. yes be careful I ...

Re: Afraid of working my pelvis too hard

Well, I liked Ativan (lorazepam), so not really a relaxer per se, but damn good for pelvic muscles. I can no longer get it and I use Phenibut with great success and its OTC. Next best thing if can't get Ativan.....

Have a great time

Re: Tensing the Belly = Don't do it!!!

Yep, me here and I think this caused mine too. I used to really suck it in and hold the chest high. I thought I was improving my posture......I still catch myself doing it sometimes not on purpose, just like I still clench the pelvic floor not on purpose. At least now I can feel the difference.........

Re: Afraid of working my pelvis too hard

I gotta say....GO SNOWBOARDING, dont let this thing stop you from having fun. Take along some Aleve (naproxen) and a muscle relaxer for afterwards, pop it right off the slopes. Then hit the hottub if you guys are staying at a hotel or an inn.....few drinks.....viola.....might even find it helps.... ...

Re: How do you lift your pelvic floor ?

I've got a big issue with not dropping my pelvic floor - it's always tensed up there and I'm working hard at the moment to moment relaxation to try and calm it down. I can see it taking a long time though to retrain the muscles to be switched off as their natural state. You got that right, tough wo...

Re: My Competition photos

I train with it on in the winter. I like to sweat and be warm, my joints take a lot of warming up when bodyfat is low and its cold out. So I just keep it on....... As for tatoos, shoulder, I drew, I was also an art student in college, did a lot of design work, mainly still life stuff, but I designed...

Re: Rectal burning post PT

burning, yep, like a lighter is directly on it. Thats a sure sign, at least for me, I found chronically tight tissue. When Tim Sawyer first stretched some bad areas I about fell off the table, seriously. I was sweating like I just lifted weights for 1.5 hrs and he was only treating me for about 5 mi...
