Mindfulness & Science

Hi All, I'm getting more and more into meditation and practising mindfulness these days. It is REALLY helping me break the vicious cycle of catastrophic thinking which I believe is the foundation for CPPS. For those who aren't convinced, give this panel discussion a watch. It features some neuroscie...

Re: Bizarre Pinching ?

Ya it's really weird! It doesn't bug me unless I go into that specific pose. Touching it doesn't hurt. My hips have been very tight lately so I suspect it's coming from that. Alternatively this pose would provoke it as well, I can feel it pinch more and more as I breathe deeper. http://us.123rf.com/...

Bizarre Pinching ?

Hi Everyone, I would post this in my personal thread but I thought it's best to post it in a general thread, get some input and then it can be migrated to my personal thread. I experience a bizarre symptom occasionally. I suspect it is referred pain coming from my hip abductors and psoas being tight...

If you have flat feet, you probably have a pelvic tilt (like me!) This can cause a lot of trouble.

Practising Mindfulness

Hi All, I realize that I should be posting this in my own personal thread, but I thought this could be very helpful to everyone here. Had I known these techniques a few years ago when I was in a bad place, I potentially could have avoided CPPS all together. For years I've tried to get into meditatio...

Re: This forum is a godsend! (davyboy)

Hello All, Just checking in - I hope that the holidays are treating you all well. It has been nearly 4 months since I last gave an update. You can probably assume by my absence that things are going well in terms of CPPS. In fact, they are. I am relatively symptom free. As far as management goes, I ...

Quality of Sleep

Hi All, I was wondering - What is everyone's quality of sleep like? For as long as I can remember, I've been waking up 2-3 times a night for years. Usually to go pee or just simply because I'm not in a deep enough sleep. I can't help but feel that it ties into my anxious disposition, which of course...

Re: The story so far (caedar's case)

Something odd has happened in the past few days: I have a weird tingling, almost-itching feeling in parts of my thighs. It's not pain, exactly; rather, it's like they're being constantly irritated or inflamed. "Tight" and "buzzing" would be two other ways to describe it; not pins and needles, thoug...

Dealing with Hyper Vigilance & Worry

I am feeling better these days, however, I still find that I am full of worry. My mind creates problems for myself. It's incredibly irrational. I like I'm on the defensive. I convince myself that if I sit too long I will develop pudendal nerve entrapment. I worry about other insanely, irrational thi...

Re: This forum is a godsend! (davyboy)

Update! I noticed that I hadn't posted on here since April. Things have being going rather well for me. I still live with pelvic pain but it doesn't affect my quality of life that much anymore. The only lingering symptom I have is post-ejaculatory pain and occasionally just discomfort while sitting....
