one caveat about the above recommendation: urination after sexual intercourse or oral sex can reduce the risk of getting harmful flora or bacteria in the urethra (which can lead to UTI's) as it flushes these things out of the urethra, therefore some people (doctors included) have recommend urination...

On some emails quoted her Wise suggests that while biofeedback may be good for showing very localized tension it is not a good indicator of overall tension, as you can have a internal resting rate of 0 inside the spinchter and still have pretty serious trigger points elsewhere that the probe is not ...

leakage/post dribbling...

I know this has been talked about before on this site, but looking through all the conversations I still have some questions. At one point someone suggested waiting a minute or two and then dabbing dry to stop dribbling, but this wouldn't really work for me because as far as I can tell it sometimes ...

I could not agree more, I have been doing psychotherapy for six months now and have seen an incredible difference in my overall quality of life as well as substantial decrease in my CPPS symptoms. I am convinced when it comes to long term remission of this condition it must be reached by lifestyle a...

when you become aroused your body has a valve at the base of the urethra which shuts it off the from the bladder and allows you to ejaculate. "There is a sphincter (or valve) that closes off the base of the bladder, so that urine cannot be passed during ejaculation. " Says a site I found on google. ...

for those with muscle related post-defecation pain

If you have post defecation pain that you think is caused by the involuntarily spasm of your sphincter/psoas muscles after a bowel movement I have found a technique that helps reduce the strength of the spasms and the pain afterwards. I do not know if this will work for others but it works for me an...

I have a question about HFDE, it was written by a preacher and the description on amazon is ambigous to its religious content, which could be a problem for me. Being an atheist I often come across psuedo-pyschotherapy books which are really just faith-based attempts at healing, not that there is any...

Though in general, the opinion on this board seems to be that flares after stretching are a good sign that you are really getting at the problem areas (just do a quick search) I would add one caveat: often when I am doing an intense stretch I inadvertently notice myself tensing up muscles around it....

I think a more scientifically sound reason for muscle-spasm reduction after orgasm or tens usage is that the tens unit or orgasm wears out the muscles in the pelvic reason and thus causes them to relax, totally tiring out the muscles so they no longer have the strength to stay contracted- this was h...

I often get a delay in pain after ejaculation usually a few hours, but sometimes even up to the next day. There are several things to look at I think when trying to understand this. First let me say that my pain after ejaculation is clearly muscular (even the nerve pain is related to tight muscles) ...

Interestingly, I have the opposite problem, my libido is unchanged by my condition and actually has caused a circle of pain and guilt for me- pain when I indulge in sexual activity and guilt before/afterwards because I know it will cause me pain. Obviously, this is the type of negative thinking whic...

CPPS is a relatively large blanket term for pain caused in the pelvic region and referred areas as a result of muscle tension/dysfunction and the resultant nerve aggravation, therefore we can (and do) have a vast range of symptoms both qualitatively and quantitatively (what we feel and how bad it is...

burning in the urethra while urinating after ejaculation is just a matter of pH balance, it happens to everyone- semen is alkaline and urine is acidic. The fact that a hot bath helps is clear evidence that the burning in the base of your perineum is probably muscle related, possibly connected to con...

You should do a search on TP's and invest in AHIP by Wise if you are interested in the muscle-tension approach (which is the right approach for many of us here). I think as with color, consistency of your semen can easily be totally unrelated to any health problems it varies from person to person an...
