Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

CMT23, Burner2k, I'm impressed we have very similiar symptoms. It's very lucky we have the internet now days and we can share and learn from each other's experiences! For the longest time I thought I was the only person in the world with this and I had no idea as to what could bring even temporary ...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Dude, are you taking all those meds daily? Or did u try those meds at various times at the dosage mentioned above? I can attest that Baclofen 10mg 1x day helped me initially a lot. A few months down the line, Baclofen (same dosage) + hot baths would do the trick. Like I mentioned in one of my posts...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

I may try this too, although I don't know if I truly have an overactive bladder or if I just have similar symptoms because of trigger points/muscle tension etc. Vesicare certainly limited frequency but in between trips to the bathroom I still felt an urgent need to urinate. It's that symptom that bo...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Hi Burner, Tried Vesicare for a few weeks and had all the same discomfort just now with extreme difficulty in starting my urine stream. I am not sure if there are others I should try. That experience kind of turned me off to these meds. I'm up to 50mg Atarax a night, with no amazing results. It's be...

Re: Xatral Failed - Should I try another?

Thanks I will look into that more. I showed the name Silodosin to the chemist and she said not available in Thailand. But maybe she is misinformed. Really though, if Xatral didn't work and Flomax doesn't work, then perhaps Alpha Blockers aren't going to help me. Really frustrating each time I try a ...

Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty

Just to go on record here that I have had this same symptom since I was 17. I'm 33 now. Sometimes it's an intense feeling. Sometimes it's light. But it's always there and is a major factor in my life preventing me from doing many things. In case someone is reading this now looking for info, I have m...

Re: Xatral Failed - Should I try another?

Just an update. Silodosin not available here so I have been on Flomax for three weeks. So far no noticeable improvement. Side effect is week ejaculation and that's about it. I guess I will stay on it for three months total, but so far there is no reason to think that it is helping.

Re: Coffee and Caffeine

I do wonder if I am impeding healing by my once a day coffee habit, but then I had intense symptoms for nearly 15 years where I never drank coffee at all. Never. So not sure how much it really matters in my case. Alcohol on the other hand usually ups the severity of my symptoms big time for 48 hours...

Re: Nocturia, frequency, hydrocele, hernia (Wolfcub's case)

Wolfcub, in reply to your question: Doesn't Tramadol cross-react with Benzos? Or TCAs are the ones which do? Yes, I think it reacts with both Benzos and TCA's by increasing the effect of them, but I am past caring. It's not indicated as dangerous, just need to be aware that you may feel more sleepy....

Re: Saying hello

At least you have met an honest and sincere doc who isn't afraid to admit that you have more knowledge than him! I've met so many who have categorically denied that anything could be wrong with me due to the fact that I have passed the usual tests. None of them have been interested in learning more ...

Re: Alternative to Suppositories?

I would also be interested to know the answer to this. Baclofen worked wonders for me, but left me feeling like a Zombie. If I could get the relief without the side effect, it would be great.

Re: Nocturia, frequency, hydrocele, hernia (Wolfcub's case)

Hi Wolfcub, Like webslave said, I would wait a few months and see if things settle down as you heal from the surgery. Hopefully they do! If not, then maybe you need to look into whether or not you have a pelvic tension/trigger point disorder. The benzo drugs are very effective and if used occasional...

Re: Nocturia, frequency, hydrocele, hernia (Wolfcub's case)

Wolf club I'll post more tomorrow when I have my computer. For now I can say that I feel for you regarding the constant sensation of needing to urinate. There are times that it drives me crazy. Maybe I don't technically have CPPS, but 13 months ago extremely light pressure placed internally on the m...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

It was so discouraging when I was younger, especially the fact that it seemed that doctors were both unaware as to what was wrong and at the same time completely uninterested in finding out. I would think that as specialists in the field of Urology, that they would be fascinated by unexplained disco...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Okay thanks for this. I experienced the same phenomenon today. Sitting at lunch and then having a small coffee, feeling somewhat relaxed and not moving and suddenly I notice my symptoms are like 1 out of 10 even though I have taken in lots of water, then coffee, and then some tea (clearly I don't ha...
