Internal Massage - How deep do you go?

For the last 14 months I have been doing internal trigger point release massage with the wand given out at the clinic in Santa Rosa. The stopper on it is set at a length that allows me to reach up to the top left and top right sides of the prostate and no farther. It is these points where pressing e...

Re: Lyrica

Well 5 months later and I finally decided to try it. Four days ago started 50mg 3 x day. Don't really feel any difference so far. None of the horrible side effects that are possible, but also none of the excellent pain relief that some people have experienced. I guess it is too soon to conclude anyt...

Re: Neue01's Case

Well it seems logical enough that there could be muscles higher up that need to be addressed. What tool do you use to reach these areas? Can you post a link to a place where it can be bought online? Have you been doing the protocol for 4-5 years now? What is your level of improvement? Thanks for any...

Re: Neue01's Case

Yes, you've been holding for to short of a timeframe. It takes at least 3 minutes to unravel a knot. The neuromuscular mechanisms need to go through a full cycle to release. Holding for 90 seconds only makes it worse and flares up connected muscles through your fascia. I had done it that way for ye...

Re: Gmccormack's case

Just a quick comment: I have noticed that those who start using opioids on a permanent basis do not seem to be able to get better. I'm not sure why that is. I have a theory ( http://www.chronicprostatitis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3698 ) but it's only a theory. Just wondering if you still are a...

Re: How many people here had Panic Attacks before CPPS?

My Mom has been on Klonopin for 12 years for anxiety and sleep and now realizes that she needs to get off it, which is not easy. Perhaps not coincidentally, Valium and Klonopin are the two things that really bring relief in my case.

From the US, but moved over here a long time ago.

Okay thanks for this. Maybe I'll do another week. Then change from tofranil to another antidepressant and maybe try Lyrica. This is one hell of an experiment.

Re: H1 and H2 Antagonists Combined with NK1 Antagonist

Up to 150mg Ranitidine and 75mg Atarax each night for a few weeks already. Nothing amazing to report unfortunately. If this is going to work, would one expect it to take a number of months?

Re: Is your spine the cause?

Thanks for this. If it appears that nerve impingement in the lower spine is the problem, what is the next step? And could it really be the problem for me considering that I sometimes have hours at a time sitting or lying still where I feel discomfort of only 1or 2 out of 10? And also considering tha...

Re: How many people here had Panic Attacks before CPPS?

Not panic attacks, but it was a very stressful period of my life leading up to the first time my symptoms began. For sure I am the kind of person who thinks and analyzes way too much. My Mother has a long history of anxiety.

Re: Neue01's Case

neue01, how on Earth do you go 8-10 inches in? Are you using the wand from Dr. Wise? As for how long to hold a trigger point, the Trigger Point Manual (I believe it's called) also says 60-90 seconds. Where do you get the idea from that we need to hold each point from 3-5 minutes? I believe I was tol...

Re: PainShield "Reduces Pelvic and Bladder Pain"

Of course we would all pay $850 in a second if we knew this was a cure. I guess I would be interested in trying it, but don't have the extra money at this point. I also don't see a lot of guidance on their site as to how often and for what duration it should be used. And where do you put it exactly?

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Hi fobo. Yes tried amitriptylanie just 5mg at night. After a few days I felt incredibly sad and depressed and stopped. Imipramine with Deanxit really worked well for nearly a month and then wore off I guess. Not sure about getting it - in the US I guess you have to go to the doctor for all this, but...

hi sufferinginpain,

How is the Rapaflo going for you? I've still got another 2 months on the Flomax before I reach 3 months and can decode if it is helping. So far I don't notice anything amazing.
