Re: Does anyone share my specific symptoms???

You may want to fill out your signature so every time you post, others can see exactly what you are experiencing. I am actually the opposite from you. For 30 seconds or more after a bowel movement, I feel easily 70-80% better. But I don't think that you are alone at all in your experience. There are...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

And to add another twist to this, just now, as with many times before I was feeling pretty bad. 48 hours already in a flare. I went to see a friend and had one small glass of red wine. While sittin still there for an hour or so, my symptoms went from 7 out of 10 to 2 out of 10. Once I got up and wal...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Burner. Obviously sorry you are having to deal with a similar thing, but I guess it's good to know that I am not some freak in 7 billion people or whatever we are up to now. I have never tried Baclofen. I will put it on the list of things to try. What dose do you take? Neurontin did nothing for me a...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Thanks webslave. There is a lot of overlap with what I am experiencing and what people here are experiencing. My symptoms behave in a similar manner. Maybe the next step is to see a Neurologist as that is something I have never done before. The one time I inquired, I was told that this isn't a neuro...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Yes it would seem that my symptoms don't fit in with what other people are experiencing here. Yet,many times I feel better after hot baths, lying down, Valium, relaxation etc. So it seems that chronic pelvic muscle tension / nervous system arousal could play a role in my case, correct? And oh yeah, ...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

I have to say I am left a little confused over the fact that it appears that I am the only one here with these symptoms.

No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Am I the only one here who has zero pain, but just a constant sensation in the tip of the penis that I can best describe as a feeling of needing to urinate? (Sometimes light and sometimes extremely intense). I have been doing relaxation twice a day for almost two weeks now. (I know it's nothing in t...

Re: Could this really be caused by muscle tension?

Hi Jay. Yes your opinion is my gut instinct. But the fact that I only have discomfort in the tip of the penis and nowhere else ever makes me wonder. Perhaps it is just the muscles around the prostate that are referring the sensation. I was excited to read an article about nerve blocks until I kept r...

Re: Could this really be caused by muscle tension?

Thanks. I don't seem to have any trigger points in the Rectus Abdominus. Pressing in this area does duplicate my symptoms in that it makes me want to urinate, but that's where the bladder and other nerves are and so everyone would experience this, right? I have been working my psoas for awhile. Star...

Re: Could this really be caused by muscle tension?

Does anyone else experience something similar to this: Lying down and relaxing and symptoms go down to a 2 out of 10. Stand up and they immediately increase to 4 or 5 like clockwork. Could this mean that while standing, a nerve is being compressed, or while standing I can not relax the pelvic floor ...

Re: Pudendal Nerve? Could that be my problem?

Okay, but as I just posted elsewhere, what is the harm with getting a nerve block? With so many people reporting symptomatic relief, shouldn't it be done? Some info out there recommends this in addition to relaxation and PT! They say the nerve can be irritated by the muscle. It seems like the perfec...

Pudendal Nerve Perineural Injection

I have done quite a bit of reading on Pudendal Neuralgia. This is characterized my irritation of the Pudendal Nerve as opposed to entrapment (Pudendal Entrapment). I understand that tight muscles can irritate this nerve. I also understand that this irritation can be caused by other things including ...

Re: Symptom free for the first time...for a week

ajama484, is this perhaps similar to when I had a cystoscopy and then within a couple weeks my symptoms disappeared for 3 months? Has anyone else had this experience? Is it possible that something is being forced open during this procedure and providing relief? Based on this theory, when my symptoms...

Re: CPPS is taking my life from me (Brett's Case)

Brett, I have the same experience with pot. As soon as I smoke my symptoms become much worse and I can feel all the muscles in my back lock up and I don't feel relaxed at all. Actually I feel extremely anxious and my mind races. Alcohol has the opposite effect. I know you're not supposed to do it, b...
