Re: Funny Symptom

My PT says my bladder is pulling to one side due to my tight hips (been a long distance runner for past ten years). So, she's been working to loosen up my hips and allow the bladder to move more freely. Most of my symptoms are urinary, with some perineal pain. Sherridan - glad to hear you are doing ...

Re: Saying Hi & my symptoms- One more Question

Fasciculations could imply healing. I've felt these in the perineum, where it feels like the muscle is trying to relax. I don't associate the tingling sensation with healing though. Very annoying and tends to lead to pain and burning for me. As for yoga, I'd say just try a class and or dvd at home a...

Re: Saying Hi & my symptoms- One more Question

Burner my situation was this: I had an initial onset that lasted for about a month and a half. Then everything back to normal for about two weeks. Then visited my girlfriend and had sex. The next day everything came back. At the time I thought my girlfriend had "infected" me somehow, but bacteria ne...

Re: Saying Hi & my symptoms- One more Question

Burner My CPPS came back with sex. But I thought it was bacteria, so went on 6 weeks of Bactrim. Got real freaked out and that's when all hell broke loose. You are ahead of the curve. You and I have the same symptoms. Still struggling with that tingling sensation / urge to pee thing. No more burning...

Re: Seattle area urologists and therapists

Oh yeah. I didn't mean to imply he was in Seattle. But gmcc is in Boston (I think), so if he's looking on the west coast, just curious why not check Weiss out. G man is one of the most cerebral guys on the board right now. So, if he's avoiding Weiss, its probably for good reason. Oh. And nice to mee...

Re: Seattle area urologists and therapists

Gmcc Reading through an earlier post of yours about Botox. Looks like you had consulted someone about it. Jay and a couple other members were responding to your post and politely trying to dissuade you. Anyway... I assume you've not tried it, if you are contacting UW about it. I found this article h...

tramadol

Webslave
Do you have a link to a study showing that tramadol does not degranulate mast cells?
Couldn't find one searching the forum or the internet.
Was going to suggest trying it to my gp.
Many thanks!

Re: IC?

Amen my friend. Peaceful and relaxed. Yeah, the Urelle is ok for long term use (as much as anything is). Works well for me. My frequency is usually like every two to three hours. Gets worst at night like we talked about. Did do pt. She found no trigger points. So.. I don't know. Did a semi long run ...

Re: IC?

Dmc, sounds like we have the same thing going on. You may want to try Urelle for frequency / pain. Been helping me. Just started Elavil last week and have noticed benefits from this as well. People on the IC forum claim desert harvest aloe helps. Check the desert harvest website for a little video. ...

Re: Question New Sufferer

d man.

this exercise
"The other exercise I do which I find a little weird is I gently contract my pelvic region, release and slowing pull my penis upwards (5 times a day)"
when you say pull your penis upwards, do you mean towards your chest or away from your body.

Re: IC?

Hi. No, my spasms seem more random than that. Can't figure out what is causing it (food, drink, exercise, sitting). Does seem to get worst as day goes on at work (lot of sitting). I have been actively massaging the area and using cold compresses which seem to help. Strange how the symptoms of this t...

Re: IC?

PT was a lady from Comprehensive Therapy Services here in San Diego. She seemed to be versed in A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS. But at the same time I think she has a slight difference of opinion. I was just curious because her reaction when she went internally and saw that I had no pain was surprise. She...

IC?

Hi guys. Question for the senior members of the group. Just back from urology appt. Dr. wants to steer me toward IC treatment. This is a university of San Diego urologist, home of Dr. C Lowell Parsons, patent holder of Elmiron. My symptoms are completely urinary. Dysuria / urgency / frequency / pain...
