Re: Exercise

Wow. Sherradin. You sound really great. Amazing! It appears you are mostly pain free with the exception of a minor flare here and there. Is that the case? The clinic starts next week. I flew up to Los Gatos and had a session with Tim a couple weeks ago. Just to see what he thought. I'm hopeful that ...

Re: Exercise

Sherradin, when I saw Tim a couple weeks ago he told me to get out and start running again. Which I had been a little bit. I've cranked it up a notch since, but not 100 miles a week or anything. Those days are long gone. So far so good. But just getting outside and exercising is so good for the head...

Re: No diagnosis yet. Need Help.

Until you sort that out, I wouldn't jump to the IC conclusion.

Re: may stanford clinic

Thanks Sherradin! Happy mothers day! Finally had my pain recreated from internal tp's (burning, tip of penis and urethra pain). Classic according to hitp. This pretty much convinced me. Dr. Wise said I was classic, but I'd convinced myself I had IC even though I have no food triggers even coffee. Fi...

Re: PBNO (Primary Bladder Neck Obstruction)?

Webslave, what is your view on the best test for PBNO? Or what is the best non invasive technique for PBNO discovery? Fluoroscopy? Can PBNO be sudden onset or occur over time? Both I would guess. I've had the ultrasound that looks for retention after urination. Result was negative for retention.

Re: Acute stress alters bladder lining

Nice one webslave.
Seems this may be my issue after putting myself into fight of flight for about 6 weeks with this condition. My initial symptoms have dissipated and only my bladder seems affected now.

Burner
Just out of curiosity
How big of an intrusion has this disease had on your life?
And where do you rate your pain level most of the time 1-10 (highest) ?

Re: Saying Hi & my symptoms- One more Question

It's about $4k for the clinic. Not including airfare and hotel etc...
Good luck with the PT. Hopefully they can locate some trigger spots.

Re: Saying Hi & my symptoms- One more Question

I started to have increased pain with sitting. Started massaging the perineum and surrounding area digitally and with a vibrating massager (thumper mini pro 2). That and daily stretching have relieved my soreness and ache while sitting. Wouldn't suggest NSAIDs (acidic to the bladder). Valium would b...

Re: Funny Symptom

I'm in San Diego. Very close. You are right. At minimum I'd get to meet fellow sufferers and learn the relaxation technique. I don't know. Constant frustration with this thing. Thank you for the advice.
