Re: Any interest in a Southern California support group?

I would be down to do a chat group. Yoink, do you have a list of people who have emailed you? I will also get in touch with Yoink offline.

Re: Any interest in a Southern California support group?

Hey guys, I left OC a few weeks ago and am now back on the East Coast. Please let me know if you do end up forming a group, though. I come back pretty frequently.

Re: The Coming Debate Over Treatment

Snowbro, your case is very much like mine. Mine started with bacterial prostatitis along with epididimo-orchitis that resolved only to take on a life of its own after successful antibiotic treatment. You are NOT alone.

Can you share your experience with the chair? I've been thinking about buying it as well.

Re: Data

Okay, I propose the following: 1. Come up with an agreed-upon set of objectives for the survey and resultant data analysis. 2. Produce a draft version of questions, ensuring that the survey is short enough to yield a large sample size yet long enough to collect as much useful info as possible. 3. It...

Re: Prosta-Q & Q-Urol

Totally understand! I actually emailed the company and told them about that. Have you tried getting a pill cutter? You can get one from any pharmacy. Honestly, I think you should try it, it would be a great deal of help as a lot of people say that Q-Urol really helps them. I've started to take mine...

Re: PainShield "Reduces Pelvic and Bladder Pain"

Um, whoa. $850?? That's insanely expensive. If this really is simply an ultrasound device, I would think they could produce it for under $200 at most.

Yoink, did you get an email from sufferingispain? Apparently he lives in L.A.

No worries!

This isn't a comment on this particular device, but I have had some mixed success using therapeutic ultrasound. Wondering what experiences of others have been like.

Re: PainShield "Reduces Pelvic and Bladder Pain"

? I didn't claim it was part of a published study. The article simply provides additional information about the device. We can take it with a grain of salt given that it has been provided entirely by the manufacturer, but given the lack of existing information out there about it, some people might f...

Is this the cushion you are referring to? I'd like to order one! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AFEOME?tag=cp58-20 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41o6mmCqGxL.jpg That one is very similar to the one I use. http://www.target.com/p/carex-seat-cushion-with-memory-foam/-/A-11158419#prodSlot...

Kneeling chairs help a little bit, but not a lot. I have had good results with the Carex cushion (on Target.com). It's memory foam.

Re: Data

Sounds good, I will start with some data and then provide a link for others to contribute to the questionnaire. We don't have to get too complicated at the start. sufferinginpain, I have a lot of survey design and methodology experience and am happy to contribute to a project such as this. I also k...
