Re: Webslave's story?

Thanks. One other question. Even though you have been symptom free for this time, do you continue with the protocol? If so, how often? If not, why not?

Thanks!

Re: ERECTION PAIN/MARRIAGE SOON

Whoaday- I'm with you on the sitting thing. That is usually my primary complaint. My PT does skin rolling and myofascial release in the area thinking there is nerve irritation/impingement. She says to minimize the sitting as much as you can, but it is hard, as I drive a desk. I haven't found a cushi...

Solutions for Bloating?

I find that bloating is an intermittent problem for me. I'll have it for a few weeks, then it will mysteriously go away for a few months and then return. I'm a pretty slim guy but when the bloat comes on, I look like I'm 6 months pregnant. It usually is accompanied by a loss of appetite and strong t...

Re: Physical Therapist - Central NJ

Jon- Let me know what you think of beyond basics. Who are you seeing there? Is it helping? I live in Northern NJ. I looked at Beyond Basics but it seems like it is a hardship to get to in the city b/c of their hours. Do you drive in or take a bus/train? I'm currently seeing a PT in Englewood named N...

Webslave's story?

This is a post for Webslave. I appreciate all the time you spend on the board and the good information you provide. I have recommended your site to my physician and PT. I have ready several times that you have been in remission/"beaten this thing". I searched for a while and could not find your stor...

Re: Considering going into physical therapy

I would think on the practitioner side, you have doctors, PA's, Nurse Practitioner, Physical Therapists, and Physical Therapy Assistants. Related is acupuncturists, herbalists, and psychologists/counsellors. There is also the research side too for medications, genetic markers, cellular, etc. Good lu...

Re: 3 years w/ Frequent Urination - Advice please

3 years. Yeesh. Sorry it is so troubling. I'm sure you have had full workups with Uros, including uroflowmetry and PVR, right? If not, be sure to do the test where they have you measure both input and output. You might have an electrolyte imbalance. I found that by increasing my potassium intake, th...

Re: 3 years w/ Frequent Urination - Advice

Sandcrab, I too had frequency issues...mine tend to be intermittent. Things that I found to help are: Eliminate caffeine, alcohol, citrus drinks, and spicy food. Stick to water as much as you can. Retrain your bladder as best you can. When you feel the urge, realize that it is not a command, it is a...

Re: Latest

I can't speak from experience, but based on your story, I'd say take a deep breath, exhale (several times) and start as if you are OK. Do whatever you were doing 3 weeks ago to get you to that better place, and stay focused. It must suck to feel like you are on your way and have a set back...but goi...

Re: Urge/Frequency and Bowel Movements

Any advice on a muscle normally responsible for this can can be "massaged" to calm down prior or afterwards?

It also often feels like the anus is "raw" (i.e like haemorrhoidal, but w/o haemorrhoids.)

Thanks

PS- Webslave, when you were suffering, did you have these symptoms as well?

Re: Prostatitis and low testosterone?

When my symptoms first started 15 months ago, my blood work showed a testosterone level of 171 (very low). At the time, my GP said it was the result of the 6 weeks of antibiotics I was on and that it should rise gradually. In September of '08 it was 190. In November of '08 it was 201. In February of...

Urge/Frequency and Bowel Movements

Sorry to ask a slightly gross question, but has anyone found that after having a bowel movement, particularly a large one, that feelings of urinary urge and frequency increase soon afterwards? My overall urge and frequency has been MUCH better since starting on the Q-Urol, but I find that the urge c...

I see you replied to my other post in a different subject, but I'd recommend adding skin rolling to your regimen and always make some time for relaxation part. Have you had additional stressors in your life lately?

Re: A forum newbee's intro...need help

Steve, The sitting/buttock pain that you describe is my worst symptom, and it happened to me as it did to you. I was being "treated" for prostatitis with antibiotics, Flomax, and pelvic floor PT last summer when towards the end of the PT sessions as my urinary issues were getting better, the sitting...
