Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

I was pretty much asymptomatic when I flew to California and had been for a few days. The first night I was there, after traveling, I had mild symptoms, which were slightly more severe the next morning (urgency, frequency, mild pain). But by that afternoon, when I had my first PT session, I felt fine...

Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

The week I was in Santa Rosa and Tim was doing most of the work, I felt *fantastic.* Better than in a long time. Ugh, though... how does anyone ever get started on this stuff, then, and maintain a normal life?

Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

I always feel great during and immediately after gigs, no matter what sort of a flare I'm going through. But, yeah, playing a show is no good without nerves. Everything tenses. If I stopped making music, life would pretty much lose its meaning. Not going to happen. It's who I am. If I didn't have th...

Re: My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

I play bass and guitar and sing in a few bands. I keep busy. Which is not always healthy for us types, I know. Forgot I'd made the old posts. Figured I'd just make an introductory one instead of just talking about pieces of the issue.

My story

I've always had a ridiculously shy bladder. If I were out at a club, at a party, or out with a girl, I'd wait to pee until I got home. I never had any problems except for some bladder pain after drinking too much and holding things too long until I drove from California to Texas in 2002 and couldn't...

Can't stop feeling like I have to urinate. HELP!

Is there anything anyone has learned how to do to make this feeling stop for a few hours? I have a date tomorrow with an amazing girl and I can't sit there feeling like I have to pee the entire time. Just something to make the feeling go away temporarily... whatever happens later, happens later. I t...

Re: Just went on a date...so frustrating!

Going on another date tomorrow. Of course I'm deep into my first flare in several months! Gah. Things didn't work out with the other girl, but I didn't expect them to. I did, however, survive the worst prostatitis of my life and actually have somewhat of a good time. So I know I can get through this...

Vincent Gallo and Howard Stern have talked about it.

Re: Just went on a date...so frustrating!

Totally understand. I've been single since December, and relatively episode-free for five months, so I thought it was time to try the dating thing again. I met an awesome girl on an internet dating site and OF COURSE I came down with an episode the day after. Still, despite the absolutely cosmic dis...

Flomax and acid reflux

One pill of Flomax caused burning reflux for four or five days. I take Nexium for my reflux and hiatal hernia (and it usually controls all of my symptoms) but it didn't touch what the Flomax caused. I guess the esophageal sphincter is just another sphincter. I've got uroxatral now, but I'm leery of ...

My Story (Etaoinshrdlu's case)

I'm trying to find a pattern with this prostatitis stuff. It seems that regular masturbation (or sex, when I was in a relationship) IS helpful. It's definitely the case that if I've been going through an episode for a few days, I'll feel better or even fine the day after a very satisfying ejaculatio...
