Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

I am wondering whether than Wise-Anderson wand is already available for purchase (I just saw the NYT article on the issue)? I saw they mention FDA approval, is this for efficacy or safety? I decided this year to do EVERYTHING to beat this. I have been meditating twice a day, stretching and torturin...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Well, after 31 mg (total over 2 months since I started this) of occasional Cardura, mostly 2mg/day when I feel things aren't good, this pill doesn't do much to me anymore. Actually, I don't even feel it at all, the side effects (the light dizziness when I stand up) is also gone. CPPS nightmare is fi...

Re: CPPS, oxidative stress and isoprostanes... could it be t

Why is there so little research that goes into CPPS, is hard to understand. At this rate of trials I don't see hope. Is there a way for us to advocate for more funding in some way...? I have CPPS for more than 10 years now, my fears materialized, and unlike other ailments, there is virtually no hope...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Thanks a lot! I will be careful when restarting, maybe break the pill in half (I am taking 2mg, but indeed I noticed that it hits me when I I haven't taken it the day before, so could try 1mg as first dose instead). As for your last point (long term benefits): good to hear, it makes sense, but is th...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Update and question. Been massaging, stretching, including the TPs in my glutes, and I have seen some improvement over the last couple of months in terms of pain. I have been keeping stats, and while pain has NOT been less frequent, it is rather less intense. Other ED issues and sensitivity issues a...

Re: Injury to Testicle & Premature Ejaculation

I saw some people a while back talking about reverse Kegel helping a lot on this front. Kegel itself is a terrible idea for CPPS patients (although I would like to be wrong on this) and from my experience it creates PE rather than correct it (will go away with time). As for reverse Kegel: Now Mark m...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Thanks. Is it normal to hurt or that means I have a trigger point there that I need to massage? Is it OK to massage several times a day?

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

An update and question, as usual. I have been taking advantage of the fact that I am working from home to try and beat this (1) I minimize sitting, (2) stretch, (3) I do about 1 hour of relaxation once every 2-3 days, (3) frequent external and internal massage. Webslave's reply to my earlier questio...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Can hurt myself with massaging the gluteus muscles with the tennis ball? I am particularly concerned about pinching a nerve (the sciatic I think). This was almost a happy discovery for me (after almost 10 years now!) that I have SERIOUS TPs in my right gluteus thanks to my therapist. No other TPs hu...

Re: muscle relaxers and alpha blockers

I am also thinking of getting on Cardura. But I am really afraid of sexual side effects: have people reported (i) sexual side effects and (ii) were these quickly reversible ? (That might seem like a weird question but it is well known that some drugs have had long lasting effects on people's sexual ...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

My post-urination dribble (PUD) has gotten VERY bad. I never had such terrible PUD since this whole thing started. I have been doing self-massage and paradoxical relaxation every day, sometimes twice. I am not sure whether the "things get bad before they get better" applies also to urinary function....

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Sorry been maybe too active ..but that's because in the last months it was downhill for me. Question: In the last couple of weeks I really CANNOT sit on a normal chair (i always use the donut these days) without feeling this nerve pain and numbness that follows after.. Goes from my pelvis to my legs...

Re: Broccoli treatment - severe prostate pain

I see this is an old post, but one of the few that popped up when I searched Oxalate. My PT was telling me about research linking this to worsening CPPS. Curious what you guys this about: www.lowoxalateinfo.com/who-benefits-from-a-low-oxalate-diet/ and I saw another guy on youtube who has been follo...
