cortisone injection: urgent question

As I mentioned earlier my symptoms always come with pain in my right hip. I do have FAP and tears in my tendons in that area. Saw a doctor specialist in cortisone injection and he recommended one injection in hip under ultrasound. He said that if this relieves pelvic pain, then the origin of the pro...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

From your experiences, have you seen sufferers here who complain about specific gym exercises that trigger that pain. I know that any exertion can lead to pelvic tension. But for me there are specific exercises that are sure to trigger more pain. They involve hip work: stair master, and lunges are t...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

sorry for the consecutive posts, was doing more reading and they talked about driving being a problem for people with FAI because hip flexion is heavily involved. Absolutely in my case. A long drive leads to hip pain, which again ends up increasing my pelvic pain same day or next. I research the for...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Not sure how credible this source is: http://www.pamelamorrisonpt.com/specific-conditions/chronic-pelvic-pain-syndrome-cpps-prostatodynia/ CPPS can also be related to other musculoskeletal disorders such as osteitis pubis, groin strain, pelvic obliquity, pudendal neuralgia, lumbar spine disorders, a...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Thanks. Are you aware of CPPS studies that examine the hip/pelvis with an MRI? I understand your point. I just come from the experience of (i) exercises that involve the hip causing first aches in the hip and then massive spike in pelvic pain and (ii) deep massage and dry needling to the external an...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Thanks. Yes, no stabbing pain, just muscle aches in hip. But they mention dull ache in the groin. Why would the FAI have to be fully symptomatic to cause CPPS? If the condition is there it could affect the pelvic floor. It has become very clear to me that hip related activity triggered a major setba...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Yes, I have groin pain like everyone here, and tension/pain in hip area and all the way down to my legs (which are some of the symptoms described on that website). I have a lot of hip/buttocks trigger points. I thought these symptoms was pretty common here? Perhaps I am misunderstanding. Can I ask a...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

MRI of the pelvis shows so many problems. I did it because one of the members here who had post-coital pain found he has femoroacetabular impingement. Well I have that too... The problem is that surgery looks scary -- has its own risks. And I have not seen anyone here undergoing this... I am sure ma...

Re: Hip Impingement (FAI) as an underlying cause of CPPS

Lookouth, any updates? This is very interesting. I also have that C-sign pain, and my pain almost always coincide with tension in the hip area that I try to massage. Like you, my main trigger is sex. There are some physical exercises that are guaranteed to give me a set back: The dumbell lunge Gym s...

Internal Dry Needling safe?

Webslave, it would be good to keep this as a separate thread if possible, since it will get more viewership on an important topic. Is internal dry needling safe? did it help anyone? Dry needling on external muscles has helped a bit. I go to Jan Dummerhold's clinic, he seems to be one of the experts ...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Question: I have been doing a lot of stretching. The ones described in the book and more. I wonder, if I manage to achieve extreme flexibility, such as say being able to do splits, you think that will help with my condition? Note that when I have pelvic pain it usually comes with tight muscles all t...

ejaculation induced pain: sex vs masturbation

I have been suffering since 2003, so around 15 years now. I will give an update later on how I have been doing over the years. One thing that almost never fails is the post-ejaculation pain, and I mean the onset of symptoms that last several days if not weeks after ejaculation. In my case, masturbat...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Folks I wanted to update you. My last post was in March and that is for a good reason. I combined chiropractic treatments with dry needling, done at different places of course. The chiropractic had, after 10 years of me dealing with CPPS, diagnosed a misalignment at the hip area due to muscle tensio...

Re: Six years after (ppp's case)

Update and question Muscle cramps update: first, note these were not part of my original CPPS symptoms, I always had tension, but not debilitating cramps. These started last year after 2 courses of antibiotics (did not make the connection). I have been taking probiotics for 2 weeks now and not a sin...
