Do you guys do this when you have sex?

How many of you guys think you strain your pelvic muscles too much when you have an orgasm? Or maintain or try to "hold" your erection with pelvic muscles rather than letting it come natural? I have noticed that this is often the reason I have flare-ups and I think the main reason I have CPPS.

Re: New member - My story (hope you like to read!)

Hi, I had the same symptoms. I have noticed that anything that is stressful causes a flare up for a few days. I have learned that when I am feeling nervous or stressed out, to do something else. Sort of re-direct the negative/nervous energy that would otherwise be tightening my pelvic muscles. When ...

Re: Having trouble finding my trigger points (Manick's Case)

Manick your case sounds like mine. In your first post that is how mine started. I went through the same procedures that you did, going to urologists and not finding any answers, just more unanswered questions. Glad you found Headache in the Pelvis. I have to go 80 some miles to go to a PT that has k...

Beginning Internal trigger point massage

I have been apprehensive about asking my PT to do this. I'm not realy enthused about it. Do they use their finger or what. Can anyone elaborate on previous experiences?

How Headache In The Pelvis has helped you

First of I would like to thank Webslave and Jay for the excellent advice that they have given me and others on this forum. Since I have gotten this book it has opened up a new door for me. I won't go into detail about my problem but if you want to read it here is the link http://www.chronicprostatit...

Re: Long terms use of Aleve (naproxen) (naproxen) or other NSAIDS to curb p

I've used Naproxen and Ibuprofen for about 4 months. They help a lot but I got some lab tests that showed my liver enzymes were elevated. I'm gonna go off them and see if they return to normal. You try to fix something and you damage something else, what a drag.

Re: Seminal vesicle surgery

Yeah your right Jay. I just visited with the uro today and he is trying to get me set up with an appointment with a physical therapist for CPPS. Have you had any experience with physical therapy. I read a post that someone commented on reading a book called headache in the pelvis, I think I will get...

Re: Seminal vesicle surgery

I had read in some outdated books about opening and draining enlarged seminal vesicles. Whereas the thick walls and structure change, caused the storage sacs to enclose on themselves. I had a TRUS and the doc said that they were enlarged and inflamed. Ibuprofen was what he prescribed. My liver enzym...

Seminal vesicle surgery

Can someone shed some light on this type of surgery. I seem to have an inflammatory response in the seminal vesicles and they are enlarged. Has anyone had any injections of steroids in their seminal vesicle(s). I am considering finding a surgeon to take a closer look at my seminal vesicle structure ...

Re: Avodart, seminal vesicles, excess seminal fluid (Mapletop)

Hey guys an update. I am somewhat better but I don't think Avodart is the reason. I've been taking avodart for 3 months. I am beginning to lose interest in sex so I am going to stop taking it. As far as my problem with the excessive seminal fluid etc. When I first experienced this problem when I was...

TRUS results

I had a TRUS done. My doctor tells me that my prostate looks pretty normal and no occlusions. However the seminal vesicles are enlarged/inflamed. I've been on the antibiotic regime before for prostatitis. What could cause this problem other than bacteria? Could this be the problem all along instead ...

Re: Avodart

Thanks guys. I wanted to try avodart because I had been through the regime for prostatitis. Also my main problem was excess seminal fluid that caused pressure and urgency, that could be squeezed out while at the bathroom. One of the side effects was reduced semen volume. I thought that maybe this co...

Avodart, seminal vesicles, excess seminal fluid (Mapletop)

I just started Avodart for my swollen prostate. I don't think my prostate can drain effectively and retains secretions that dry and occlude the ducts. Anyone had any results with avodart? I will post any changes in the months to come.

Prostate Stones

A previous post I made I discovered that the jelly-like material that I was passing was called Corpora amylacea (thanks webslave). These masses are dead cells and other material that cannot drain properly from the prostate for reason of prostatitis, or an enlarged prostate that collapses the normaly...
