Re: Anybody else have pain only on one side?

My pain is mostly on the right side, but I occasionally get some on the left. It's quite strange when this happens as I do not feel pain in the right side - It's either one side or the other, but predominantly on the right! I have been to 4 PT sessions but haven't found any internal trigger points. ...

Re: Pelvic Floor Specialist in Toronto

I just had my first appointment with Carolyn and she certainly knew what she was talking about. Although she has not trained at Stanford she is a pelvic floor specialist and has various certificates which show her history of training in this field. She has also studied the Wise-Anderson Protocol and...

Re: Advice on nerve pain

Thanks for the advice and informations guys, I still have some pain there but it has subsided since I posted. It looks like I have irritated a nerve and it is taking a while to calm down. I'm going to see a PT next week so will ask her about it. And I won't be trying to work on any TP's myself until...

Re: Advice on nerve pain

This is definitely not bursitis, as there is no swelling and the area is not red or warm to touch. I'm not the best with anatomy (had to look up bursitis lol), but the best I can describe the pain is that it comes from the right corner of my hip, at the waist line (just above my trouser pocket), and...

Advice on nerve pain

Hi, Just looking for some advice from people more experienced than myself. I attempted to work on a (suspected) trigger point, before seeing a PT, in the psoas or lliacus muscle on the right side. It felt like a small pea and was painful to touch (not the same on opposite side, so I assumed it was t...

Stretching and symptoms

I started getting pain about 2 and half years ago, which was mainly in mt right epididymis and groin are with some lower back. I had never got any of the burning symptoms that some have described on here. In that time I never really got any exercise (except walking) because I couldn't because of the...

Re: What I've found after 2 years of this.. hope !

The one thing I have noticed about some stretching is that a couple of days later I might get a few symptoms that I don't usually get. I sometimes get a burning pain in my rectum and in the tip of my penis, which I haven't had. I think this might be because I am stretching muscles that haven't been ...

Re: What I've found after 2 years of this.. hope !

I've had pain for 2 and a half years now and in that time exercise was just impossible, as a result my overall physical health has deteriorated. I used to be quite fit (very fit at one stage) but would struggle to run for 10 minutes now! Anyway over the last couple of years my pain has gradually dec...

Re: Testicle question

pminturn: Are these trigger points you can access by yourself and are they external? I have an appointment with a PT at the end of this month so haven't done any trigger point release yet as I don't really know what to do or know where to look. I'm going to wait until I see the PT to see what she fi...

Re: Testicle question

Yes I've had two ultrasounds done, one in the UK and one here in Canada, and both came back normal! I did hear from one of the urologists that I had a small cyst on the left hand side, but he said it wouldn't cause any pain - Anyway the pain is in the right hand side. I still think my testicle shoul...

Epididymis / Testicle pain (Scotcan's case)

I predominately get pain in my right epididymis and the right side of my groin, although I do get some pain, from time to time in the left side. The pain is in the head of the epididymis, and it is painful to touch. I have noticed that when I squeeze my abdominal/pelvic muscles that my left testicle...

Re: Question about how often you think about CPPS

maverick, I'm just new to the concept of CPPS and stress being the main cause of all the syptoms, and I have yet to receive my copy of HITP (On order). I have been trying to conciously relax my muscles and think about positive things. I find slow deep breathing, in through the nose and slowly out th...

Re: So...the running thing...

I'm new to these forums and I'm just learning about CPPS and treatment using the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol (Although I've suffered for 2 and a half years now!). I thought the whole point was to find out what stresses you in life and to either cut back on this or to learn to relax more when dea...

Re: Pelvic Floor Specialist in Toronto

I contacted both Nelly Faghani and Carolyn Vandyken, but wasn't able to speak to eith in person. I spoke to Nelly's brother (who is also a PT) and he contacted her and called me back. He said she was experienced with pelvic floor trigger point release and was familiar with the Stanford/Wise-Anderson...
