Re: Nerve Pain

Extreme, thanks for the input. When I walk on cold surfaces I get nerve pain up my legs, this is obviously nerve hypersensitivity, how to get rid of this no one knows. Good to know it hasn't gotten worse, it's not really a pain for me either but is very disconcerting and causing me to be antsy when ...

Nerve Pain

Lately, I have had less genital and pelvic pain which has been great but I also have been feeling significant more nerve-like pain. This includes itchiness on the inner thighs and buttocks, along with these electric shocks that travel down my legs to my feet and I sometimes get these nerve pains in ...

Re: Saying Hi & my symptoms- One more Question

I dont know if the results get posted immediately after the end of the trial.

I am in one now, I like the concept but haven't seen any benefit yet, it's supposed to peak in week 4. Although, I could have gotten the placebo...20% do.

Re: Annual Update from NoMoPain

Tony, That's great, these posts do help some of us who are still suffering from pain. It is even more meaningful from someone who has suffered greatly from this condition, I remember reading many of your older posts and you appeared to have been through a lot, emotionally and physically. I mean if y...

Re: My story

It certainly could be the levator ani causing a majority of your problems. If you can't get to PT that does internal, there is a list on this site. You say you have the HITP book, you could try experimenting yourself, the good news is that the levator ani is close to the opening so you dont have to ...

Re: Question New Sufferer

Yes, however, you will never find someone with your exact symptoms. I sometimes get flashes of burning in the urethra, that last for an hour or two, then revert back to the normal irritation. If the burst of pain is more than usual, I will take a benzo and the pain will deteriorate quickly. I think ...

Re: cystoscopy

Jay,

Good for you man, I commend anyone that can come to terms with chronic pain, mentally you have to be extremely strong.

I am aware Marcaine lasts longer that's why I got it and mentioned it. I didn't know they were going to use steroids.

Good luck with the SSI hearing

Re: cystoscopy

So your on disability for this condition? That's tough man, sorry to hear that. I thought you just didn't have insurance. Glad to hear your taking it day by day, very hard to look into the future with what life will be like if we have this forever, something they stressed not doing at the WA clinic....

Re: cystoscopy

thanks Jay and Silas, I called about the Pyridium, I saw that being prescribed as well. The razorblade pain is a pretty accurate description and the blood I know is common, its all just from the instrumentation. Pfizer was adament I get this for the trial, I tried to refuse but they weren't having i...

cystoscopy

Hey guys, This is sort of an arbitrary question, but for those of you who have had cysto's before, how long does it take for stop burning when voiding? The resting (non voiding) irritation has gone but it's pretty vicious when I void and I'm getting some slight blood as well. It's been 40 hrs so I u...

Re: New clinical trial of anti-NGF antibody

Well I went yesterday for the screening, Pfizer is going all out for this one. I had a cysto, urodynamics, bladder ultrasound post void, blood drawn, EKG, and I need to fill out an E-Diary each night. I mean that visit alone with the cysto probably cost them $600? I'm pretty sure I qualified and wil...

Re: Webslave on hypersensitivity or allodynia

Thats very helpful, especially the slide show, thanks. I agree researchers don't understand the complexities of neuropathic pain, but that doesn't mean that CPPS is something that isn't complex. You are one of the most knowledgeable people on this condition and have done more for the cause than any ...

Re: Webslave on hypersensitivity or allodynia

thanks sheriden,

So we'll say then that certain neuropathic pain can be alleviated by treating the nociceptive pain that caused the neuropathic pain. Some neuropathic pain there is no cure or intervention, CPPS related neuropathic pain may not be in this category.
