Re: Anyone Had an EMG (Electromyography Test)?

Thanks for the link. The test described there doesn't sound too bad. The one I'm supposed to have involves the use of needle sticks in the muscles and nerves and electrical current passed through. I guess it's kind of like acupuncture needles, but it didn't sound too fun. I still wonder what it will...

Electromyography Test (EMG test)

I'm curious if anyone has experience with the EMG, Electromyography test? My colon and rectal doctor wants me to get one done. I have the typical symptoms of Levator Ani with the golfball in the butt and sometimes tailbone area. Had an MRI with no findings. The doctor is suspecting possible nerve da...

Re: Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

I appreciate the dose of reality even though I don't like it. I'm having a terrible time with the acceptance stage. I've never had any real health problems all my life, so this is tough on me, and yet I'm aware that others have it much worse than I do. It seems strange that one part of my body seems...

Re: Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

This thing is different from a TENS machine. Check this out: http://www.integratedhealth.com/healing-tools/index.html I didn't like the TENS machine either, but I thought this electromagnetic pulse device might have something to offer. I even spoke to the inventor of the product who was very encoura...

Re: Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

I'm certainly no doctor or scientist, but I think you're right. I wonder why it makes muscles contract? Of course it's advertised to treat muscle, soft tissue injury, inflamation, and about everything else! You can't always believe the advertisement claims!

Re: Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

Well, after trying this EmPulse Solo device for about two weeks, I'm about to give up on it. I get more out of a hot bath! I guess I'll get a refund. I think it even makes me hurt worse!
There doesn't seem to be any short cuts!

Re: Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

ramana,

Here is the device I was considering: http://www.integratedhealth.com/healing ... index.html

I haven't purchased yet. Right now I'm recovering from hernia surgery, a whole different issue.

I haven't seen the Dynapulse, but on the EMpulse, electrodes don't seem to be an issue.

Re: Elecromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

I'll be interested in seeing how that works out for you. I just found out my mother has one which she used to help cure a shoulder injury last year. I took it home with me this evening and I may try to figure out if there is a benefit to it. But I really hope to get back to that electromagnetic devi...

Re: Elecromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

Yes, a good hot bath does help, the hotter the better. Unfortunately the effect wears off after a while, but it is still quite useful when I get home from work and before I go to bed. A heating pad seems to provide little value as it just doesn't get deep enough to where it is needed. By the way, I ...

Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy?

I'm a new member to this site and haven't posted before so here goes: I had a lateral sphincterotomy with a fissurectomy last January to correct an anal fissure. Apparently the surgery worked. No more fissure, but I never seemed to have recovered from the surgery. Three Colon and Rectal specialists ...
