Re: Sciatica from tennis ball TP work

I'm still struggling with the cause of the neuropathic type pain in the soles of my feet/bottom of toes. I have made huge strides in the pelvic pain department but this symptom seems to appear from long periods of sitting as well (pinched nerve?). I have some soreness from my legs just under the glu...

Re: Best three weeks in years

Great news - consistency is the key. Too many folks want things to work right away but it takes time an dedication to see results.

Best of luck with the continued recovery.

Re: My story

First off, welcome to the forum! You'll find a wealth of information here on different ways to treat (and not treat) this condition. Your story is not unlike the countless others on this board. I'm heading towards almost three years since first acquiring this and been to hell and back. I can say tha...

Re: Neuralgia

Pay it no mind and it really does get better.

Almost one year now with neuropathy in my feet. I wear sandals, get exercise and enjoy life. At times I almost forget about it.

I still feel like there will be a day when it is totally gone.

All the best to you.

Re: Tingling in Feet?

kls269, The thera-seat was pretty much useless. While it relieved the pressure in the perineum area, it increased pressure in the other sitting areas which equalled a complete wash for me as far as pain relief. I've tried a gel seat as well which did nothing for me either. In short, I wouldn't recom...

Re: Tingling in Feet?

I try to wear sandals, no socks whenever possible - that helps quite a bit. Not focusing on it helps too (which is easier to do if it doesn't hurt so much).

Re: ejaculation blues

I agree, once your pelvic floor is relaxed and healthy again, ejaculation becomes much less of a problem. I used to dread it, now it doesn't bother me much at all. In fact, the absence or reduction of post ejaculatory pain is a good indicator that you are getting better...

Re: Posture and Exercise

I wish I could comment on what exactly got me here, but I wouldn't discount poor posture being a culprit. I'm a tall (6'4") guy and have a history of slumping in chairs and just basically being an ergonomic disaster. In my case, I'm convinced that my tight, nerve irritated pelvic floor is my problem...

Re: Lexapro side effects

Lexapro helped me quite a bit but should not be seen as a long term solution nor a cure. I am happy to say I am treating my problem with PT now and living without the help of meds of any kind.

Re: New to the Board

One last question; is it "normal" or part of CPPS to experience the weird feeling of urgency? All I can comment on this is there is a lot of overlap in symptoms between sufferers but everyone is different. Depending on the location of your trigger points, a set of symptoms can vary wildly between p...

Re: New to the Board

Hi there and welcome to the board. Anxiety is the number one antagonist of this condition. Your first order of business should be to quell the anxiety and you've made the wise first step by coming here as soon as possible. When this thing first hit me, I become incredibly anxious with the pain being...

Re: statistical data on length of CPPS symptoms

A real nasty condition to say the least and one of the reasons it lingers for so long is that there are so few experienced practitioners and limited resources as to how to deal with it. Sadly, it's misdiagnosed so often, the treatments prescribed don't really do squat. People spiral down a path of h...

Re: Nerve Pain

Yeh, just hang in there, keep treating the source of the problem and those symptoms should go away as well. I've heard once your nervous system is screwed up by this condition, it takes a while for it to reset itself. I'll keep you posted on my symptoms should they begin to get better. I am optimist...

Re: Nerve Pain

Yep - nerve pain in the soles of my feet (feels like a burn). First felt this about 8 months ago while my pelvic pain has become milder (more of an annoyance than pain). Unfortunately, I have not gotten much better in this regard although I haven't really gotten worse either. I usually take my shoes...

Re: Stretching and deep breathing exercises work

Thanks webslave. I'm being patient with this and optimistic that the burn will fade as well. It's like the nerves down there are super sensitive in that they fire up through stress and sitting (basically the same stimuli that triggered my pelvic pain). I feel like I'm treating the original source (p...
