Positive Progress

For the last five days I have been, dare I say it, normal. No gotta go pee feeling, no burning/rawness/inflammation, nothing. I'm going to the bathroom every 3 to 4 hours. I haven't had a clenching episode either. It's almost too good to be true. The only thing I am doing currently is doing meditati...

Re: IC VS CPPS

To be honest, I think IC/CPPS/PDF is basically the same thing, but with different symptoms for each individual, that in turn affect them differently as well. What everyone has in common is some type/level of neuro-muscular issue going on that affects all the organs/muscles/nerves in the vicinity of ...

Re: Dietary triggers and my story

The pelvic issues all of us deal with involve all the organs in the vicinity because of all the nerves in the area and their close proximity to each other, which we know when they are raw and inflamed cause a lot of cross talk resulting in pain and exacerbation of symptoms. I've always believed that...

Re: Does anyone take ACIPHEX or a PPI for acid reflux?

Rather than take pills I suggest you try something much better. I got rid of my acid reflux in two weeks just by taking 2 tablespoons straight of Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar once in the morning, once in the evening; along with cod liver oil daily. It went away in December of 2006 and never ca...

Re: Ambien = Cancer?

If you feel you need a med to help you sleep, you should try taking (if you aren't already) Elavil. It will help you sleep and may help you with your IC/CPPS stuff as well. I'm one of the lucky ones with this disease because even at my worst I have always been able to fall asleep within ten minutes ...

Re: Bowel Problems, chicken or the egg

I'm still eating like crap, mostly greasy foods, as I figured that should cure constipation up sooner or later, plus it tastes good. Sorry if it seems like I'm busting your balls, but why on earth do you insist on eating crappy food? The body cannot heal itself if it isn't getting any nutrition. Al...

Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty

Yes, it was helpful but did not cure me. There isn't anything you could name that I haven't tried to will be trying in the next few months.

I'm not giving up.

Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty

Hi Raptor, I'm sorry that you have been dealing with this so long. I have your symptom of "need to pee", but it comes and goes. When it stays, it can stay for a week or more. The feeling is horrible. I just try to stay busy and ignore it. I can't offer any advice other than try everything that exist...

Re: Drinking too much

Hey Calguy, Have you thought about taking up Yoga? I have found it to be extremely helpful. It's not a cure, but it makes things so much easier to deal with, while at the same time it relaxes the mind and body as well. I am taking a beginning class in Hathwa Yoga. I love the vibe in the studio. It's...

Re: Bowel Problems, chicken or the egg

Good Morning Brett, Maybe it might be a good idea to approach this problem two fold. Delete from your diet anything that may contribute to your constipation, and eat more of those foods that don't give you any problems and facilitate your ability to go without straining. Part of the issue may be is ...

Interesting article on referred pain

Crossed nerve signals make other body parts share the pain New York Times Published Sunday, Oct. 05, 2008 When someone has a heart attack, a classic symptom is shooting pain down the left arm. That symptom, it turns out, has something in common with a far more benign kind of pain: the headache one ...

Re: those with frequency

Honestly, I've done and have been doing anything and everything possible to take down my symptoms a few levels, but haven't had much success. I'm just accepting things, doing a lot of praying, and focusing on being on the moment. It's the only thing that matters at this point.

Re: Coke as a trigger???

Everybody is different. My advise it to just read everyones story, get some ideas, put togather a protocol and go from there. You are your best doctor.

Re: Coke as a trigger???

My first year was the worst. If I didn't have the emotional support I would have offed myself. It was that bad. Now, it's doable, but uncomfortable. I'm sitting here feeling like I have to pee, but knowing I don't have any urine to pee. So I try to stay busy, stay calm, stay relaxed, wait for at lea...

Re: Treating Neuropathy with Metanx - from Wall St Journal

For a lot of people the B vitamins cause flares. I know it's the case for me. I wonder if taking the supplement IV is possible and if it would help.
