The pain started while I was a college student as well, and there have been many days where I'd stayed home because of the pain. I know too how difficult it is to concentrate, your mind is going in twenty directions at once. May I suggest just doing some simple breathing exercises just for a few min...

I think the pain is real, but secondary, a consequence of being overly anxious. For me, the Compulsive part of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is the act of tensing the pelvic muscles.

In the past year Dr. Wise has gone to a few major cities like NY, I think Chicago among others to teach his methods over the course of a weekend. I don't know if he's planning it again but its highly likely considering his book is in such high demand not only in the US but worldwide. Do you know of ...

Yes I've had OCD for a long time as well and overall anxiety disorder. I've been on and off Zoloft for the past few years which probably saved my life at one point. I don't know if there are degrees of anorexia (I know it is related to anxiety disorders) but I had something like it when I was younge...

I've been doing the Stanford relaxation daily since September. In the beginning, it was slow to produce any results and often I'd fall asleep while doing them (which is natural). Now my concentration during them is starting to increase and I can notice more areas of tension (and man do I have tensio...

The relief you got from the Cipro is probably the anti-inflammatory effect of antibiotics. When I went on Cipro I felt a little better after about a week (I was able to ejaculate with less discomfort), but then symptoms returned. If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? If you're relatively you...

Scotsman - I had prostate leakage once while I slept. I've been abstaining as much as I can, maybe masturbating once or twice a month or less. One morning I woke up and had it, it was really a new experience considering I know it wasn't orgasm-related. If it had been, I would have been in more pain ...

Has anyone heard anything new about Rick Pitino? The news about him just sort of came and went. I guess if he's dealing with CPPS he'll want to do it as privately as possible.

That's just how it started for me, pain in the tip of the penis and the occasional redness. Same medicine as well, Cipro then Bactrim with minimal results. It's funny, of all the worry this condition has caused me, I never entertained the notion that it could be cancer, I liked to think I was going ...

If you have been to 15-20 doctors, why go to another urologist? In my unqualified opinion, when you mention the visualization of pain forseen or happening creating a pain in yourself, it sounds like flat-out anxiety. I get this as well - when I see something disturbing, I tense up at the thought of ...

Hang in there Steve, we know how you feel. I also have bad pain after ejaculation, for the next day I don't even want to move, so I've been abstaining from all sexual activity including masturbation. It's not difficult considering it keeps the pain down. Stay positive, I think you'll find some answe...

In 'A Headache in the Pelvis,' Wise mentions Byron Katie and her book 'Loving What Is' which has a simple technique for overcoming mental anguish by questioning the validity of stressful thoughts. I've just started reading it and I'm going to see a therapist who uses it with patients. For me, the me...

I know exactly how you feel. Why can't the pain be ANYWHERE else!?? Why must have pain in my penis 24/7?? I'm 23 years old, and the pains also began for me in college. Needless to say, it ruined my last 2 years of college. While all my friends were out having a good time, carefree and able to have s...

Hi Michael in Boston, I was recently living in boston and couldn't find anyone who treated cp with the myofascial release. I would get the name of some person and they would say, call this lady, she does it. Who do you see? the closest person I found was in berverly, ma (45 north of boston). I basic...
