Re: To date or not to date...that is the question

Women want to feel loved, needed and most of all, listened to. If you can do that extremely well, and sexual please her even if you do have some issues with it...I think everything will work out fine. At least, that is what I believe, although I admit to stressing about the next time I have sex. But...

Re: Minocycline

Appreciate the info Webslave. I actually took Tetracycline for years in high school with no issues. With this new drug, I'm doing ok and my face has cleared up...but my pelvic pain is up. It may not even be related, so that is why I asked. I know it can affect the urinary area so that could be a cul...

Minocycline

I've recently started taking minocycline for mild acne. I've been on it for about 5 days now but the last few days my rectal tightness and spasm have been SO bad. I'm honestly not crazy about taking it for the acne, but doing over the counter stuff seems to be a struggle. But also, if it is going to...

Re: Personal Underworld??

Very well put Kevin.

I stand behind what I have said 100% in my posts and I think they speak for themselves. It is obvious some people here are stuck in their one-track minds and that is just the way they will be...they don't see the big picture.

We can just agree to disagree.

Re: Personal Underworld??

No, not correct. Wise's book runs to hundreds of pages with diagrams and detailed explications, impossible to post here. Impossible? Please . There are HUNDREDS if not more of free medical ebooks on the internet that are MUCH more detailed than his book and even longer in length. Here is an example...

Re: Personal Underworld??

And Dr. Wise could post his entire book on his site or here as well for people at no cost if he has his best interests for patients as well. Correct? I've said all I need to say on this. All I care about is that people get better and that the more information, be it from "qualified" people or simple...

Re: Personal Underworld??

Dr Wise originated the idea of Paradoxical Relaxation and the application of trigger point treatment to CP/CPPS; Jarvis simply tells us about his case. Nope. Edmund Jacobson was the "originator" of that type of relaxation, and even Dr. Wise mentions this in the book. Paradoxical Relaxation is his n...

Re: Personal Underworld??

So your saying only the "originator" of information that can possibly help people should be the only one to publish a book on the subject? Seriously, think about it. Do you find any other books on beating chronic pelvic pain, using the mind-body approach only, on the market? Nope. It is ok for Dr. W...

Re: Personal Underworld??

I stand behind Kevin. Here is why... Through all my years online and having this pain (nearly 10 years now), been through all the tests, treatments, meds, research on TMS and read all the books, you name it....here is what I have learned. Everyone is different. I've met people online who have been p...

Re: Doing proper internal PT...the fine line?

So doing 2-3 sessions a day for weeks I can ONLY imagine causes some serious flare ups...am I wrong? I would think the body would need to have some time to heal. But hey, it worked for you so I admire that. I think what irritated me was the "strumming" of those bands at the tailbone...like I was dig...

Re: To date or not to date...that is the question

Fantastic posts. I'm going to print them off just as good motivation to move ahead and to change my focus to "life" focus, not "pain" focus. You have no idea how all of your posts have helped, thank you.

Re: To date or not to date...that is the question

And I can guarantee your previous relationship did not end because of your pelvic pain, but maybe because of your attitude to pelvic pain at the time. Very true. It wasn't the pain that did it, it is how I let it get in the way between my ex-wife and I. Lesson learned for sure. In response to an ea...

To date or not to date...that is the question

So I have had this pelvic pain now (mainly levator ani spasm) for nearly 10 years. Just a few years ago I lost a great wife due to this pain and have not dated since. It was a real blow going through divorce and this stupid pain. I know I put her through a lot with this...the pain, the anxiety, the ...

Re: Doing proper internal PT...the fine line?

Yes, but I've heard that treating bands is a bit different than treating "knots". With bands, you almost need to strum or stroke them to loosen them...not the typical press and hold like you do with tight trigger points.

Am I incorrect in this?

Doing proper internal PT...the fine line?

For the last several months I've been doing my own internal PT with my finger. I've found a lot of tough "bands" near the tailbone that are rigid, very tight, and very sore. This is on the left side and I'm pretty sure it is the main cause of my "golf ball" in the rectum feeling of tightness and spa...
