Re: When I do a deep belly breath, it pulls in my rectum...

It seems like when I do a belly breath, it sort of sucks in instead of expanding OUT...if that makes sense.

When I do a deep belly breath, it pulls in my rectum...

For years I've had really bad levator ani syndrome, or muscle spasm, tightness and I have lots of internal trigger points. I always have that "golf ball" feeling under the tailbone, and it can burn, hurt, and spasm. I've noticed that when I take deep belly breaths, it ALWAYS pulls in my rectum. I'm ...

Re: Triggerpoints in connective tissue?

Recently I started massaging my pelvic floor internally and externally every day. Now I made a interesting observation. It always was kinda painful to massage or just touch the area around my anus. It was even painful to wipe it after going to the toilet. Now I found that this burning pain comes fr...

Re: Your thoughts on Dr. Filler's MRN scan?

I agree with you Snoop. I've heard that many have been "found" to have some sort of entrapement, but surgery still doesn't help. So the accuracy is still not 100% correct. Honestly, I think sticking with my PT on my own and relaxation is best. In my past, I've already had the PNMLT, injections, etc....

Your thoughts on Dr. Filler's MRN scan?

I have found that Dr. Filler in California has a special MRI scan that is called an MRN, in which it only identifies and shows the nerves only. I've read mixed reviews of this online. I do know it is not cheap and I've heard their staff is not too friendly at all either. But I have thought this kind...

Re: Guidance with internal TP work at home?

Well, that really sucks because what about those of us who went to the clinic years ago when they didn't have it? I guess I will just use a dilator or just my finger. At least using a finger you can actually feel where issues are at.

Can you get this wand on Amazon? What exactly is it?

Trigger point injections...

Are trigger point injections into the rectal area and muscles really worth it for treating levator ani syndrome? Seems to me this is only a temporary fix that never brings about long-term relief.

Thoughts?

Re: Using Heat...

Hot baths help, but its purely a temporary thing. Also, when I lay on a heating pad, it does feel good at the time...it's just the next day after I get up and around it starts to really burn. That is why I think the nerves are irritated.

Using Heat...

I have Levator Ani Syndrome really bad. My main problem is rectal spasm and tightness and have had it for years. I'm starting to give this whole protocol another shot and I did some PT the other night. After that, I've been laying on a moist heat, heating pad as well. Is it possible that heat could ...

Re: Interstim for rectal spasm/tightness?

Did you have the trial or the full blown implant put in?

I've actually read online that people have done this for levator ani syndrome. It makes sense because the nerves that supply the rectum are from the same S3 root.

Interstim for rectal spasm/tightness?

Levator Ani Syndrome is my #1 problem and have had it for 10+ years. PT only seemed to make things worse. I've had injections, and all that as well. I was just curious if any of you have tried Interstim for this? Any luck? I need something to break that pain cycle. It is so wound up, that it just ca...

Re: Bowel Movement...passing out...

Just through my research, I found that if you feel it coming on, you can cross your legs and squeeze your thighs, buttocks and abdominals for 30 seconds and it will stop that nerve trigger. What this does is squeeze blood to the heart. Also, one can go into a squat as well. I'm sure many here have h...

Bowel Movement...passing out...

Have any of you had really painful bowel movements and then got sick feeling, and nearly pass out and sweat if you don't lie down? I had that happen today...never had it THAT bad, but I nearly blacked out when I was laying down. There have been times I have felt that cramp and sweat, but nothing lik...
