Re: Is PT necessary?

I just had a long talk with my PT (pelvicpainrehab.com) - and she said that almost all of her patients get significantly better, but it can take up to a full year of PT and a true sense of self-care in the rest of your life. I have a lot of trust in her experience (Liz Rummer), and know she wouldn't...

The exercise question again...

Ok, so I've searched through those exercise posts...and I'm having trouble figuring out how to approach this. In the last 7 months I've really decreased my workouts from 5 days a week, plus being a professional dancer, a bike riding commuter (no car here), plus being a personal trainer for cash. No ...

Re: External discomfort in head of penis - maybe this will help

This is one of my two major symptoms (I have rectal pain as well) - hypersensitivity, weird feeling underside of the tip, and urethral tip pain. I've found the transverse perineum and ischiocavernosis muscles are particularly key in these. It seems like I'm pressing directly on the nerve or somethin...

Re: Frequency of Internal Work

This is an interesting question - how often to do internal PT? Dr. Wise recommends daily internal PT. I've been doing that since OCT and going 1x a week to a PT (I think of it as a day off for me). I have recently begun to think I need to give my body some recovery time from all that "manipulation" ...

TrPt referral versus nerve pain?

Hey guys - a quick question for those farther along in this. I'm experiencing a new sensation (or actually more of a refined sensation) now when I'm pressing on my Ischial Cavernosa (sp?) and transverse perineum. Instead of a slight twinge in my penis tip, I'm now getting a shooting sharp prickly pa...

Re: no wheat gluten diet

Trader Joes and Whole Foods both have rice breads, corn breads, tortillas of non-gluten varieties, etc. If you ask at the customer service desk they will give you a "glute-free" foods list.

Re: IBS meds that aren't anti-chollinergic?

thanks!
- just wondering if anyone else had experiences with the meds as most of the ones my doc keeps listing have anti-c effects and I appreciated your explanation on some other threads about their questionable connection to CPPS sensitivity...

IBS meds that aren't anti-chollinergic?

Any suggestions out there for folks who can't use the anti-c meds because of CPPS but have god-awful IBS cramps and constipation?

Thanks guys!

Re: Penis head (glans) is so sensitive it hurts

Thanks guys - I'm working on "surrendering" to this experience. In surrendering I don't mean giving up, but letting go of the fight (as Dr. Wise says relaxation is paradoxical) by accepting the reality of "right now." I do pray this will eventually subside completely (or even mostly), but to do that...

Re: Cost of PT... What are people paying

I'm paying $200 a session for PT from Liz Rummer in San Francisco. She and her colleague worked for Dr. Weiss but moved on to their own practice after feeling like PT was working much better than the complicated procedures he was pursuing. It's freaking expensive and the insurance only covers $25 of...

Re: Penis head (glans) is so sensitive it hurts

After long talks with Dr. Wise, Dr. Smith (a urologist Dr. Wise uses), and my PT (liz Rummer) - I decided the issue was not really connected, and it has since disappeared completely - though all the CPPS symptoms are still present...thanks for the thought though - I'm pretty angry at the world right...

Re: Penis head (glans) is so sensitive it hurts

Yeah - It's interesting how different our symptoms are on this forum. I have hypersensitivity, but my symptoms are all better when I sit down or stand still - my symptoms are always much worse while moving - sounds like the opposite of yours...I also can't seem to find trigger points (nor can my pt)...

Paying for treatment - any luck with insurance (Blue Cross)?

Hey folks - my CPPS treatment is putting me in the poor house (literally!). I pay $200 a week for PT, plus $150 for dry needling of trigger points, plus I paid for the SP clinic and I'm dying between the pain and the dried up savings! Has anyone had luck convincing Blue Cross of California to pay fo...

Penis head (glans) is so sensitive it hurts

Does anyone else have this symptom? Is it TP related? It's unbearable! It feels like I'm constantly chaffing my genital's head. I also get a weird sensation on the underside of the penis where the shaft meets the glans. Anyone else with this symptom? My PT says this is related to the pudendal nerve'...

Mirtazipine has really helped and Effexor made me CRAZY

Hey guys - Thought I'd throw my two cents in - the Mirtazapine has a weird effect - the stronger the dose, the less sedative the effect. I need the sedative to sleep (too much the first few days, but now no problems), but my Psychiatrist said that any more would increase the anti-depressant and decr...
