Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

Anyhow, the fact that I have prostatic fluid coming out from time to time, means the prostate is involved and to some extent inflamed. This indicates it is either prostatitis or CPPS, not some pinched nerve, am I right?

Re: Sperm quality and possibly Ankylosing Spondylitis

My back problems aren't very severe, as I said it is some dull ache in my right lower back, I guess the SI joint. Some days I am virtually symptom free from that too, though my pelvic problems persist. I have always been wondering, from the onset 2.5 years ago, if there is a connection. One massage ...

Re:

Webslave, what is the link between AS and prostatitis? How come that there is so little writing on that subject. (I know that inflammatory prostatitis is part of the Reiter's triad. ) I am trying to find some answer to what is causing my back problem, this is something I haven't looked into... seem ...

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

As I stated some months ago, I wanted to have a check-up of my back. I have some pain (not very bad) in my lower back, mostly on the right side of my lower back. I was sent for lumbar MRI and it showed nothing. No slipped disc or anything, no pinched nerve roots. But, I have had some thinking after,...

Re: Define a flare-up

Gettingbetter: 3 inches up at 12 o´clock might even be the prostate. Or are you sure you are hitting the muscle above it?

Re: Define a flare-up

Have any of you guys tried the muscle relaxant Baclofen?

Before I try it myself, I want to hear if someone has actually had success with it.

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

Graeme; ok. Another addition of symptoms for me is the deep sore pain in the perineum. I have had it very lightly on and off before, but the last weeks it is much worse. The deep pain in the perineum would be the prostate, not? This one I seemed to get some relief of with the squat-stretch in the pa...

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

Hi again! I´ve been off the board for some time, trying to get my mind of things. I am by no means better though, I´ll post an update on my case later. I have a question though; I seem to have more and more prostatic excretions coming out of my penis at odd times, etc defecation and just spontaneous...

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

As for the multimodal approach to this, is it any use to do a lumbar MRI?

I do some days have a dull ache in my lower back (not that severe that it affects my everday life), but it is something that seem to directly get better with stretching and heat therapy, as opposed to my CPPS symptoms.

Yes, I guess you´re right. I have a bad day today and stumbled upon the Guercini-page again, remember reading it 2 years ago too. Really f£$@s up my mind :boom: .

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

Congrats! Nice to hear we can still function with this condition :-D . About the "coagulation", is that common too? Is it still possible my problem can be neuromuscular, now that I know my prostate is inflamed? I mean, the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol is for people who has a normal prostate gland.

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

I have been reluctant to share this, because I hoped it was just temporary, but there is something funny going on with my semen... the last month or so it has been more "coagulated" than usual and yellowish. Never seen anything like it pre-flare. How does this fit with the CPPS-theory? Anyone else h...

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

You are right, the relaxation is important. I am doing that as well, and it is also something that appears to come naturally when I do my stretching sessions. This morning I did the home-test for leukocytes in my urine. Came out negative... I had thought it would show something given my urethritis/U...

Re: Stretches & trigger pts for urethral burning? (Hacksquat)

Ok, I will do some exploration at 9-10 and 2-3 o'clock, using my Slender 7 til I get a better tool. I'm more concerned about the 12 o'clock...

12.00 means above your prostate, right? If you bend the tool anteriorly at this depth, is there no chance of hitting the bladder?
