Re: Important article on PSA/ yes or no?

Agree. Most men cringe from the PSA and the DRE. A "I don't want to know" type of attitude. It's far, far better to get your # at an early age and then track it then wait. It's actually very important for your doc to be able to track your # over time. They will tell you that it's not so much the act...

Re: Stress, Cortisol, HPA, CRH, adrenals, immunoneurology ...

Webslave, It would seem reasonable that if CP/CPPS was really the result of some kind of auto-immune or other immunologic dysfunction that a course of corticosteroids such as methopresolone would eliminate the dysfunction and a reduction on CP/CPPS symptoms. Has anyone ever worked out a trial of var...

Re: How do you guys get through THOSE days

Gary, etc, Best suggestion for you right now is to call your GP and ask/demand a script for Ultracet/Tramadol. Pain is an insidious thing. The longer it goes on at the levels it is for you, the deeper the depression you are falling into, and likely the worse the pain. You may feel the discomfort fad...

Re: Trouble Reaching Trigger Points

Matt, Maybe we can share notes. I saw Marilyn Freedman in NYC in mid Nov for a couple of days. She did a full work-up and we talked about the treatment I'd received by a couple of PTs here in my area. Once she checked the pelvic floor, I nearly went through the roof when she got up near the anterior...

Re: "Prostatitis" turns out to be cancer

In the article, the patient mentions his PSA was over 1100. That is astronomical. Likely he never had routine prostate screening until this happened. I had mine tested this summer (I'm in my early 40's), and it was 0.3. But suggest any guys over 40 who haven't had the test, go get it as soon as you ...

A couple of things: 1) I bought a wand similiar to the crystal wand named "ez-wand" when I visited Marilyn Freedman. She likes it and I bought one in case I needed it. 2) My problem areas are in the anterior levator area also. These are hard to get to and I never could find anything myself with the ...

I've been taking 10mg nightly since Aug 1. Not sure if it's helping. My overall pain level has gone down - I'm back to wearing boxers again, and I have about 1/2 the week each week as good days with no or minimal pain. On other days, I get the wave form type pain where I can be fine when I get up, t...

Suggest you guys with digestive/rectal/intestinal problems look at Acidolphilous Pearls and Inulin fiber. Together they assist in keeping the colon healthy. I use both myself each day since I have problems digesting lactose.

Agree with Carl. Follow a regimen after sex that includes a hot bath, peeing, and stretching. Then head to bed to sleep. If possible, do some internal massage/stretching when you stretch. You may notice the muscles are tensed up due to the "activity". Try to gently get them to relax using a gloved, ...

Carl,
I've had the same thing happen recently. I think it's a sign that the PT is working.

Btw, I know you take Elavil 10mg. How long have you been taking this?

Basically you tense your lower abdomen as though you were trying to put on a tight fitting pair of pants (too small for your gut). You do these lying on the floor and hold for 10s doing sets of them. This is a very broad overview of what you do. I would suggest reading the book: http://ecx.images-am...
