Of course we'll watch it, but unfortunately I've seen these wonder cure drugs come and go a few times already, and this one has all the hallmarks of a scam by starting out on paid PR websites. Tip: if you first hear of something from an advertising puffery website where the manufacturer/author has ...

If you google the product name you can find the same news report on quite a few news sites. That's how a PR campaign works. Yes, but it's also how news travels. I can see where you are coming from by saying what you are saying and I tend to think this will probably be just a way of selling a produc...

For me it will be interesting to see if this is proven, over time, to be a bit of a nonsense or not. Still, I won't dismiss it without further proof either way.

GP2, You saying you have flares when your urine is clear made me remember something: a doctor once told me that if you drink too much water and pee too much, your urethra will burn from too much water, which, incidentally, is the same reason why diarrhea often burns. I've noticed that my urethra bu...

Hey Greg, You are right when you say the whole topic of food intolerance is a tough one. I spent a long time dealing with intolerances and tolerances relating to my Ulcerative Colitis. Gluten can be a problem in many different ways. Look at it like this, it may well be that your body doesn't digest ...

The only time I have had best chest pains was when I used to drink way too many beers weekday evenings and at weekends. I don't touch beer anymore. I would get that checked out if it continues mate. Getting back onto gluten for me was fine. I had initial issues with soft stools to start with but tha...

Greg, I am not on the diet still. I was on a strict grain, sugar (in fact all complex carb) free diet for 1 and a half years after I first got Ulcerative Colitis. I was losing an apprieciable amount of blood when having bowel movements so it was either try that diet out or go on high strength steroi...

You are exeriencing all the symptoms I did when I went on a very restrictive diet (all grain free and sugar free) to help with my Ulcerative Colitis a few years ago. They will pass. You may exeperience some yeast die off (although am not sure if its just gluten free), this may mean some green in you...

Yup Metamucil is great for constipation. GP2, you are in the UK like me.... I found Metamucil tough to get, but you can get something called Colon Care + from Holland and Barrett which is essentially the same thing. It's Psyllium Husk Powder and is mixed with water. It certainly does the trick when ...

Great progress on the positive thinking front bellow. Sometimes that can really lift us all and make us feel better.

I too wish there was an Internal TP for Dummies book out there!!!

Wow MC, looks like you got knife pain through internal treatment and my internal examination looks to have relieved mine for the moment. Weird timing eh? Wish I could help you with yours but I am yet to have any PT. But it's certainly something I am looking into and reading up on.

Best of luck dude.

Update on an odd day symptoms wise - need your input!

Ok Folks, I know I am a newbie to this forum and prostatitis (2-3 months now of symptoms and only joined this forum a couple of days ago) but today has been an odd day and I thought I would throw it at you for ideas. Thanks guys. I was sent home after being given a rectal examination and an emergency appointment will be set up with my specialist, but I doubt much will come of this. They said they would have kept me in, but there was nothing they could do (I am getting used to hearing this). It felt like someone ...

Just a quick update. My symptoms have gone mad over the last day or so with pain immense in the rectum and perineum and pain recurring in the bladder and penis. I also seem to have a fever and feel sick whenever I try to sleep and pain killers are not doing anything much at all. My doctor has asked ...

I used a GF Diet when I was initially diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. The best place to go (as you are in the UK) is Tesco as they have a massive "free from" section where you can get gluten free snacks. Also, I believe Sainsburys have a gluten free brochure you can get from their website which l...
