Somewhat close to my symptoms. Without a doubt I experience my discomfort AFTER urinating, sometime beginning several minutes after. The location isn't exactly the same as yours; in my case it feels more like the urethra, and in particular the urethra at the head of the penis. I've had this happenin...

Agreed. And though I posted this before, what helps me is a simple, basic, athletic cup. If I'm in a "sensitive" state, the cup holds the material away from me. So there's no friction...makes a big difference.

VictorSpain - This sounds very much like one of my symptoms. I get a feeling of discomfort in the tip of my penis AFTER urinating (not WHILE urinating). It lasts anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. It's not exactly pain...I'd call it discomfort or extreme sensitivity. It also feels like the ...

Hi Carl, thanks for the input. The urologist did do a DRE. It was a bit painful for me and felt warm/burned when he pressed on my prostate. He said it also felt a little inflamed, which is how he concluded prostatitis (in his words, "a very very mild case of prostatitis). He also checked my scrotum,...

BB if you have not ever had any flow problems or starting your urination, why take the Uroxatral? Unless you are having spasms in your smooth muscle around your bladder neck and prostate? Not sure why you are on what can be a powerful drug? Talk to your urologist about that? Wish I knew...it was th...

External discomfort in head of penis - maybe this will help

One of the symptoms I had/have is that, after urinating, I have discomfort in the head of my penis. In my case this seems to be both external and internal. In particular, the underside of the head of my penis frequently is very sensitive to touch in this case. Not necessarily painful, but sensitive....

Thanks to all for the responses. Actually, at the moment I'm putting a couple of pieces of toilet paper in my underwear for 5 minutes or so after urinating, just to catch those last couple of drops. After a few minutes I pull them out (theoretically while no one is looking :-D ) and throw them away....

Post-void dribbling question

I wanted to start out by thanking everyone on this forum...I'm here reading/researching all the time, and the information is invaluable. Hopefully I'll be able to give something back some day!! I have what is hopefully a quick question: most of my initial symptoms seem to have quieted down for the m...

Thanks again! I've got about 7 days left on Levaquin; I'll finish that out, then start on Quercetin. Personally I don't think the Levaquin is doing anything for me, but I've come this far, so I might as well finish it.

Hi Carl,

Thanks. I seem to recall reading the same somewhere on the net, but could not find the article again.

Cheers!

Hey SS, Thanks for all the information. I already eliminated caffeine a few weeks ago, though at this point it doesn't seem to have helped much. I've also ordered the Q-Urol. I'm starting stretching as well. Quick question: do you (or anybody else) know of issues taking Q-Urol with either Levaquin (...

Thanks to all for the responses thus far, I very much appreciate it. Have you tried any valium or Ativan. If this helps that would suggest a muscular component. See if your uro will give you a low dose prescription of either, and see if those help the symptoms. Do you get irritation or pain after ej...

I'm not noticing anything when I try to relax those muscles, but I'm going to continue to try. Looks like the next step is also to try some of the stretching, etc. discussed so frequently here.
