Thank you Scoobysnacks and Howden for the feedback... the herbs I was given also had to be boiled in water, simmered and boiled and simmered again before the liquid (which is the actual medicine) could be consumed... fortunately I made a huge pot so I won't have to go through the process for at leas...

GP2... You've inspired me to change the name of the thread I've been posting on for the past couple of weeks.... sometimes it's a matter of finding perspective and sometimes (for me anyway) it's a matter of finding hope... I'm certain that with your positive attitude, and with the positive changes y...

I really appreciate the words of wisdom and support, Scoobysnacks, Scotsman, Lightning Tree, Carl and Howden... Lightning Tree, I've incorporated the pigeon pose into my stretching but I find it hard (harder on one side) to keep my front leg in the proper position, though I think I'm still deriving ...

....I don't know where to begin"¦Yesterday was my appointment with the doctor (?) to whom my now former acupuncturist referred me. What he and this doctor failed to inform me was that she is a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine and not someone who is going to do internal pelvic-floor physio, as ...

After wallowing in misery yesterday, I decided to escape it for a while or at least take the focus off my pain and went for a half hour run followed by a half hour of stretching and a hot bath. Ignoring the pain had the effect of making it subside for a couple hours and then made it manageable for t...

Thanks for the support and encouragement everyone... I don't think I have a social phobia since I speak in public quite often and teach every month or every two months in cities across Ontario... what I do have is a generalized anxiety exacerbated by my prostatitis that, at the slightest discomfort,...

Thanks for the kind words Rider Fan and Carld... the 10mg's of Elavil and I didn't agree with one another; it felt like I had a large raincloud in my head all day... what a powerful little pill it is! I'm going to speak to my shrink next week and perhaps start again with 5mg's as you suggest at nigh...

Thanks for the tutorial on trigger points, Scoobysnacks.... I've been doing a lot of probing around (not really knowing what I'm doing) and I think I've found one or two that I can access with some effort and patience. I will certainly message these areas after applying pressure as you've suggested....

Thanks Howden, Scoobysnacks, Carld.... you can't imagine how helpful it is for me to hear about others who are on the road to recovery. Taking a "normal pee" must feel euphoric.... My shrink gave me almost the same advice that you (Carld) gave me about my relationship with my wife and about "playing...

A Better Day Again

Thanks for the kind words, Scotsman; I've been reading about your recovery and I find it inspiring.... I can't believe how much I've learned over the past few days; for the past six years my treatment has flip-flopped between antibiotics, painkillers and Chinese medicine.... now I find myself anxiou...

Thank you again Webslave, Benzo, Howden for your continued words of encouragement... yesterday was a very down day for me. After I wrote my post, my wife and I had a long talk and long cry together; the long and the short of it is that we're both dedicated to making our marriage work, though we real...

Today is Worse than Yesterday

The initial euphoria (perhaps a better term is "creeping hope") of being on this forum and setting new goals for myself has taken a bit of a turn for the worse today... the burning has intensified and probably not coincidentally my wife let me have it for being self-absorbed and not much of a "partn...

Thanks Again

I hope no-one minds that I continue to write long posts; I'm finding it very therapeutic to speak honestly to people for the first time who really understand what I'm going through... Thanks again for the advice born out of experience, both painful and positive... I haven't ejaculated in about a wee...
