Re: My journal (Prisoner's Case)

Yup, that describes me as well. I don't know if i would use the term snap back. But everything else fits. From the few posts I read of yours, our CPPS is very similar. I was doing pretty well for the last two years, but this last year things have been back with a vengance. So, I am back on the board...

Re: Gay men with CPPS (Popburner's Case)

Not to hijack. But my "pain" is in the urethral tip. And is of the burning nature. Like a match in the tip, that i cannot escape no matter how much i squirm. (PS, I use the wise tapes and almost no physio. i have had about 60 - 70% daily relief from the pain. And about 30% relief in pain during sex,...

Re: Doctor with CPPS

You go to a neurological, they will give you a neurological diagnosis. You go to a orthopedic, they will give you an ortho diagnosis. As suffers of a condition that is not well diagnosed and is so heterogeneous in its symptoms and degree, are as variable as the weather. True that. That also being s...

Re: ok... Alcohol = flare up

How long after you drink before your symptoms get worse?

1 min
5 min
30 min
1hr
the next day

Mine tend to get worse within 5 mins. I definatly dont have to wait for it to hit my bladder before I get a strong burning sensation in the urethral area. Ouch!

Re: Weather & Chronic Prostatitis

Been awhile since I've made a post. Since I am having a flare up, thought i would come back to the old watering hole to see how others are doing. I like many, have also found that generally cold weather makes my symptoms worse. However, I have also noticed that my symptoms also get worse with very h...

Hi. My symptoms were/ are the same. Just urethra pain. Kinda of burning, kinda stabbing, kinda irritating. Hard to put my finger on the right words. Very very bad symptoms for 6 years. 4/10 in general. After a pee 7/10. After sex 10/10 often. Also helped. Very hot bath after each pee. Had the bath a...

Progressive Relaxation

I think progressive relaxation takes time as well. But whatever works, is what works. I asked Doctor Wise when I was at the SP clinic, why progressive relaxation (PR). He said because he found it worked for him, and it worked for others. Thats all. Not because it is the only thing per se. Thats not ...

My Success Story

Long story short. Many years of this problem. Main problem is pain in the urethra after sex, peeing and stress. Went to the SP clinic in Aug 2007. One month before, I started doing some external trigger points, and general stretches. about 25% improvement in 1 month. I didn't celebrate, because, hey...

Unless you order it off the internet. Plenty of places sell tens units. I'm sure lots of them come from canada. (Vancouver, Toronto). Which a few years back would have been a steal, but not today it seems. (PS. Yippee, I'm canadian, and I know this won't last! So I am ordering books/ ebay like chris...

90% better!!!! Jeez bro, that is amazing.

As Dr. wise is always saying, 2 steps forwards, 1 step back. So dont be disappoint if it doesnt stay that way. Because you will bounce back after :)

PS. I am holding at 50% better myself. I feel like I have somewhat of a life back.

Drinking Kills me

When I was at the SP clinic.

The majority said drinking made there symptoms worse. Some said a few hours later, some said right away. And then there were a few that said it helped dull the pain.

Seems to be vary varied.

Quick to Judge

I would say, dont be too hasty to judge. TCM has been around for a long time and has an amazingly good track record at curing many diseases. Sure, it doesn't fix everything, but neither has western medicine. My disclaimer is I am an licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in BC (Canada) and working on ...

Almost had to be carried in. I really dont feel comfortable giving too many details of my trip other than about myself. I meant to post about my trip more and said I would, but somehow I never got around to it. I will really try soon though. I started the first few days keeping a blog I havent post...

Worse or Not

I dont think the uro was keeping good statistics. From what I gathered, was some peoples symptoms became more freq or/and painful, and some peoples symptoms got better or even disappeared. I guess my point in the comment was, either or could happen. But myself, like most of us here, believe in being...
