chiropractic?

Hey all,
I have a friend who swears by his chiropractor. I called the practitioner and he seemed certain he could help. I've been told by my PT that my hips are out of alignment.....

Just wondering; has anyone here had any luck with that stuff? many thanks,

rehabilicare

My PT gave me this machine -- well, actually, you have to rent it. It's pretty pricey ($200 a month). I've been using it for a week, and it seems to help better than anything I have used to date. It's from Rehabilicare, and is called "IF 3 Wave"; it's like a TENS Unit but a lot stronger. You place e...

CPPS dad, Thanks for your help again. I'm unclear, however, on your terms "above" one's anus, and then "press down towards the anus. Can you take a quick second to elucidate? By "above," do you mean an inch away from the anus and toward the testicles? And, if so, how then do you go "down to toward t...

CPPS Dad,
Thanks for the tip (no pun inteded) -- but I have the same question as link. How, using a Theracane, do you get at the sensitive transverse superfical perineal muscles?

Many thanks for all your help. You guys have been a godsend.

thanks, CppsDad.

I really appreciate it -- the kindness, the out-and-out generosity of many of the posters here. Great to see.

S.P.

Hey all,
I've been doing the stretches from AHIP, and going to a good PT (who does internal work) once a week, and taking hot baths -- but I haven't done the relaxation-tape part of it. How important is that?

I just don't have the time to do all of it and still have a productive life, you know?

The treatment is 150 an hour, but my insurance covers 70 percent of the first ten visits (hopefully all I'll need).

the pins were placed along what he called the "bladder meridian": my TPs are in by buttocks and my back (the quatratus lumborum) and around my stomach.

I'll let you know how it goes; I'm seeing him again tomorow

If it ain't broke..... (acupuncture and stretching)

Hey all, As I've mentioned a few times, I've been going to the PT Marilyn Freedman, who is very good. She found a few trigger points that just wouldn't loosen (even with her PT, with hot Baths, stretching, and Valium). So she sent me to a local acupuncturist who specializes in CPPS. (He doesn't do t...

That's my main problem, too. I was also rolling the shaft of the penis to get the extra urine out, but my doctor advised against this, which he called "milking." I'll try the outer perineal massage after urinating -- that's what's worked for you guys, eh? Also, I htink I asked this before, but... do...

Important Question: How many sufferers?

Hi, I've posted a few times here, but not much recently. My problem is mostly frequency/urgency, but that's improved somewhat after I've been seeing the PT Marilyn Freedman and the doctor Robort Moldwin, in NY. My question is: does anyone know how many people in the US (or around the world) suffer f...

Wondering about Q-Urol.... I've read that TOO mUCH quercetin is bad for flare ups. Should we take 2 of these pills a day, or 4? The bottle is no help (it says take 2 OR 4 pills day. Thanks so much for the guidance!) I wrote to Farr labs; no answer. I wrote to Dr. Shoskes. He said "Contact Farr Labs....

Elavil vs. Valium

Hey As I mentioned in earlier posts, I've been prescribed valium (2mg, 3x a day). It's been about 3 weeks now, maybe a little more. This has helped, although not 100 percent. I also do the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol (to the best of my ability, since I've never been to the clinic.) I do a weekly...

Benzodiazepines and CPPS

I went to a doctor -- the highly-regarded and extremely nice Dr. Robert Moldwin of Long Island Jewish -- and he prescribed me 2mg of Valium 3 times a day. It has helped (I've been on it for 2 weeks). Is this something to worry about, though -- addiction-wise? I know he is considered among the best u...
