Re: Nucynta (tapentadol)

Bad news! Stop this path now. Opioids really make this worse. My advice is to discontinue from stressful life and try Wise-Anderson Protocol - take 1-2 years out you are young and do this NOW. You will "fully" recover if you do I suspect. Get out the rat race and let your body recover. CPPS is direc...

Re: Antisperm Antibodies?

Celiac you would know about that for sure! But you could be sensitive to gluten I know I am but I don't have Celiac. Very hard to cut it out it is in everything - even in some medications. People with CPPS are more allergic than average and have mast cells issues (not always via immunoglobulins) in ...

Re: Need some advice on finding a Psychiatrist

A Psychologist is perhaps more suitable in my experience as the physician angle seems not to be required in CPPS to me and can often make CPPS worse as they will try to medicate you. YMMV. Sometimes just talking about things can make a huge difference in letting the pelvis heal and relax.

Re: The Trigger Point Wand has been Cleared by the FDA!!!

Theracane works but IMO is slightly too large and not constructed properly for this use. However it still works; it is just a bit unwieldy and needs a bit too much lubrication & cleaning and of course lacks a sensor. I have found it invaluable in stopping flares the same day they kick up. If you kno...

Re: Antisperm Antibodies?

You should be looking for antibodies to the sperm in your blood/immune cells - ask your doc to test. Not looking at sperm. Unless you study comparison images as above (in the context of medical and diagnostic parameters) you won't know what you are looking at. This is rare and without extreme trauma...

Re: Any Members with this symptom?

Never had that. Some of us can FEEL the muscles relax & grip as we are sensitized/work on them often but pops never had that myself but have heard people with trigger points describe a pop. Of course describing these events can be tricky. I would ask your PT to check that out.

Re: Opioid WARNING - AGAIN

You are welcome and I agree but with a small caveat. Anyone with an addictive trait could get lost on them and should avoid even flare breaks as the risk of addiction outweighs the use in flare breaks. If you are impulsive and do things quickly and get into one thing from time to time far too much w...

Opioid WARNING - AGAIN

This is for all of those new to CPPS who have MD's who want them out their office and are thus pushing opioids (like a dealer <<< brutal but often true) to let you know what can happen long term. I was in and out of opioids for 10 years! I was taking small doses of Tramadol mainly, 50-200mg daily. W...

Ketotifen - LONG BUT WORTH THE READ!

This drug seems to help me a great deal at 2mg morning/night. Spoke to Mark he has cleared me to pass this info on with caveats. However my disease is NOT refractory and has not been so for years now. I do flare up occasionally but Wise-Anderson Protocol always nails it. I recently had another healt...

Re: Kevkos - Here's my Story

This is the relaxation/therapy part of Wise-Anderson Protocol. Paradoxical relaxation (and therapy sessions) should in time stop this if practiced - have you tried? The pelvic muscles are way too easy to get stuck on doing this mad stuff and it is a very frustrating symptom. It is the old dog tale r...

Re: Kevkos - Here's my Story

This sounds exactly how things should be done and is all natural and med free. I do not believe this can be cured (it can always come back I think with certain triggers), but by doing these things one can find themselves basically symptom-free In time. I would caution that stopping these things, in ...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

Mike - can you comment on what kind of healthy vs. crappy diet you are referring to? I have tried a few diets and it is too much to discuss in detail here, although it is amazing the differences a diet can make, over the mid to long term. It takes I would say a minimum of 3 months to really feel it...

Re: New here - thought I'd say hi - my story so far

Try just to relax do not try to force anything or think on the process or worry about tension after - part of the issue may be doing that. My bet is get it out your head and it will resolve. You could try a very mild stretch before and after it will relax the muscles and help you focus on something ...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

There are many ways just google. http://www.teachpe.com/stretching/thigh_stretches.php That one is good though you show here I do it daily many times over. That is a very important stretch for CPPS as the muscles all work in trains and you are real close in to the pelvic muscles there. This should b...

Re: No pain - just constant sensation of needing to urinate

I found Tramadol worked well...BUT...it replaced pain with some weird symptoms (and the word HELL to get off it does not do it justice). All the other meds discussed here I have tried one big fat FAIL! My only real symptom is PAIN but all these meds do is muddle you up so you start reporting all kin...
