Response to ALprost re: meditation

I havent been on the forum for a while for various reasons. I just read a post by Alprost in the best posts forum regarding his continued relaxation protocol. I have been meditating now for nearly 2 months on a daily basis. My pain has not decreased greatly as yet but that's because firstly I'm in a...

I have to ask just for my own sanity. I know CPPS effects everyone in a different way, shape, or form. That being said, does anybody just have burning in their urethra with no other noticable symptoms (other than stress caused by our condition)? Sometimes I feel that my state differs greatly from w...

I've been working trigger points, doing some pretty intense stretching, doing relaxation exercises, and am about to switch to Yoga and swimming from Weights and walking fast on a steep incline. Do you think this is all too much? Be careful here. When people talk of flare ups in my mind that means p...

John F Kennedy

Some of you will know and it has been mentioned on this forum that JFK had non bacterial prostatitus. I have been reading about the Kennedys recently and it seems that he had suspected celiac disease too. Its that Irish blood. Thats why I like a drink too!! I wonder if those who dont improve f...

Someone here posted a topic on an internal wand that they just stick up their rear and do chores around the house in (sounds a little gay but if you already donated to post at this site I'm sure your past that point)
Thats exactly what I do and it "dont bother me no more"! :-D

You need to find a way to do 40 mins to 1 hour a day, every day, no excuses. It will feel uncomfortable at first, and you will make excuses that you can't do it - this is what happened with me anyway. Rather than just doing the odd session, you need to immerse yourself in relaxation/meditation. In ...

Thi is not to say that I dont advocate exercise as a stress relief treatment. I do - I swim and cycle 3 times a week. But it is not the only stress releiver and in my opinion not the most powerful one. If your mind is stressed and anxious regularly no amount of adrenaline release is going to resolve...

And how do you battle stress and anxiety? You get out of your couch and do something, like sports. There are other ways to battle stress & anxiety. I get the impression Benzo that you are in a perpetual state of fear and resentment about this condition. Also not staying indoors for those people who...

I'm just so frustrated! If I had some sort of treatment plan, or even just knew wtf this was, then at least I could concentrate on trying something. As it is, I just feel like I have this hodge-podge of crap that I've read here and there that I half-heartedly try because there seems to be no rhyme ...

Those twitches are known as fasciculations. They have too many possible causes to list. For me, eliminating irritants in my diet (gluten and lactose) probably helped get rid of them
Same for me!

Thanks Scoob, Well I treat myself internally with the Theracane. It doesnt bother me! I have found a lot of sore areas / TPs and hope over time that I'll get there. Plus I've done really well at resolving my abdominal TPs (caused largely I believe from the tensing I do when my stomach is in pain fro...

The psyche - our pain

I know most people concede that our personalities as well as unconscious stress / anxiety perpetuates our pain and in some individuals is the main causal factor of CPPS. It is also largely accepted that CPPS cannot be "cured" through a psychological method alone. The multi-faceted muscle healing app...

Burning in my urethra / perinea is my only real symptom yet its darn painful at times. Is this more to do with nerves then or trigger points or is it inflammation?

Scooby / Webslave do you know or is there not an exact answer?
