p.s. on perfectionism

Howden. I always thought that perfectionism was a positive trait. But the HFDE book and your testimony and others show that it is not. The HFDE book doesn't dwell so much how we got that way or does it emphasize we necessarily have to go deep in our past to find out. The point is to realize perfecti...

There is no on "fix" for everyone as this site demonstrates. But as discussed above: 1 Analytical thinkers 2. Perfectionist. 3. Well educated (likely with an advanced degree). 4. Prefer being alone. seem to be common traits of many CPPS sufferers. I think this may help. Especially if one is a perfec...

Perfectionist

I just read a book entitled "Healing for Damaged Emotions" by David A. Seamands http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0896939383.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Anyone who is a self perfectionist should read this book. (My opinion). It tells that perfectionist leads to anxiety, self condemnation, guilt , anger, dep...

TRUS

Curious, what will a TRUS show?. My uro said it is only used to look for cancer usually along with a biopsy.. Since I had a normal DRE and low PSA, he said it was not necessary. Seems like lots of folks on this siite had one. Are there other reasons for a TRUS? What else can a TRUS detect or indicat...

Relaxation

I tried doing relaxation but had a difficult time relaxing or knowing when my pelvis wad really relaxed or dropped. Just focusing breathing and trying to "relax" did seem to work for me at firs. Dr. Wises's book A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS says that when you relax you almost feel like you were going to...

EMG vs. biofeedback

Is an EMG" assessment of pelvic floor function" and bio-feedback the same thing? Using an anal probe, biofeedback showed higher than normal reading for me . but I noticed that Dr. Wise in A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS doe not really endorse biofeed back. So is how is an EMG assessment of pelvic floor fun...

quercetin

I tried one bottle of of Q-Ural awhile ago. I did not notice any noticeable improvement. Recall it cost ~ $70 but if it helped, I would have been glad to have continued.

I know that one study showed this to be highly effective.
Curious to hear from others on this web site if quercetin helped them.

Response to webslave

To be honest, I've never come across a case like yours, where the pain starts directly after a cysto and keeps up chronically. I can only assume that something untoward happened during the cysto. I suspect some samples were taken. Just saw your response from January.. I am sure that is true that yo...

quercetin

I read on this site that quercetin was just bee pollen. Is that right? If so, that should be available in any health food store and not be that expensive. I did order a bottle of Ural a while ago for ~$70 but did not help my pain. But if quercetin is just bee pollen, I am willing to give it another ...

Mayo

Mayo was a waste of time an money. Only gave me false hope. They said I had pelvic pain which I knew that going into it. They recommended seeing a pain clinic which supposedly teaches one how to live with the pain, not do anything about it. They also sent me to PT which was really only biofeedback. ...

burning

Just want to clarify. My burning felt like it was in my prostate area, not the tip of my penis. It was constant night and day for about a month. Whether or noyt I urinated made no difference. I had mostly penile base pain which I assume was also in the prostate area. Curious if others experienced th...

Regarding quote from webslave: "'This excluded the quercetin research (and we know that works for 70+% of men) as well as all neuromuscular therapies like the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol, which also helps over 70% of patients." If quercetin has that success rate should that not be the first thin...
