I used to get this as well but no so much now. Its probably referred pain. Muscle tightness has a tendency to do this, e.g., bladder neck tighness can cause discomfort in the penis.

An incident occurred that opened my mind to possibilities and got me really thinking. My mum injured her back a week ago and is now in hospital. When she first did it she only got slight discomfort and a couple of days later her right knee! It turns out that it wasn't her knee but she did her back i...

Relationship: Specific Back pain and increase in symptoms

I've noticed a relationship between specific back pain on either side of L2-L3 of the spine and an increase in symptoms, i.e, urge to urinate, tightening of bladder neck, etc. I have not had my back checked so maybe its time I did. Anyone have similar problems and have any suggestions?

Seems like our body building past has caught up with us. Sucking in of the stomach was also one of my tricks after I quit body building and putting on some kgs/lbs. I too had the occassional shooting pain from the left side of the navel to the penis but always ignored it. It eventually caught up wit...

Tufnel, don't worry, this is normal. Give it two to three days after the procedure, it will subside. Do go to a Uro and get things checked out for peace of mind if anything. Its no big deal.

Stretching does help, diet helps, lots of things can help, you have to investigate what they are. Its not the same for everybody, it is indeed a multifaceted problem. In my case, it emanated from a back problem which caused muscles to spasm. I got some PT on my back. Did the stretches as suggested i...

I think my symptoms came on due to a lack of exercise and sitting too long. I used to be very active, always on the move but when I got married a became a little sedentary. I found that when I do some work involving physical exertion I usually feel better on the days that follow.

Gonslo, if you have been diagnosed with sciatica/piriformis consider doing exercises to strengthen your glutes. I would avoid Botox injections if possible because muscle does not regain total strength, only about 90%. Info can be found on the following site: http://www.easyvigour.net.nz/fitness/h_gl...
