Hi Sleeper, I've just had a 1 1/2 week of slight hell. My urine flow was very very poor. I think, because of my bladder neck obstruction (BNO), I am prone to the effect of even the slightest of muscle tightening causing problems. I have found that going through some of the exercise/stretches and doi...

Hi sleeper, I have found that the effectiveness of Flomax can wax and wane. Sometimes it works well and sometimes it doesn't. My Uro did say that he doubted it would completely relieve my symptoms and that I was prone to infection if I did not get the incision done. I held back because my wife and I...

A lot of men with mild symptoms do keep quiet about whats going on down there. When I told other guys at work of my problems many of them have mentioned that they have had and have the odd problem or two. I even start to notice people that make regular trips to the toilet, something that I never hav...

Kevin, if you are worried that something is going on in your prostate go for it, but it is a little discomforting. I had it done and it was the best thing I did because it ruled out any problems with my prostate and I stopped worrying. Maybe if the first Urologist had any idea what was going on or n...

At the beginning I have had this as well, peeing like as if there was no tomorrow. Thats how it all started for me. In one night I peed 3 litres in a space of 6 hrs. I had every test under the sun and nothing was found. The only thing I noticed when I was peeing a lot was that I used to find trace a...

After taking Flomax for three months and experimenting on the best time to take it, I've concluded that taking it without food increases the uptake. The literature on tamsulosin (Flomax) shows that this is the case with the bio-availability being higher after four hours after taking it without food ...

3) I have obstructive urinary symptoms, get this test or a retrograde urethrogram? Video urodynamics or a cystoscope will reveal this. The later needs to be used by a Uro who has experience. My first uro said everything was ok which turns out to be a load of bull. 4) Would a urinary stricture and i...

The best stretch that I have found, which has been mentioned many times on this forum, is the squat. It relaxes the pelvic floor.

I also found doing gentle massage of the perineum helps, but the best that I have found helps is internal TP release. This always seems to improve urine flow for me.
